9/8 CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING FROM HOLLYWOOD REPORT

By Steven Ronquillo on 2013-09-10 08:19:24
I attended the latest television taping of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood yesterday at the Oceanview Pavilion in Port Hueneme, California. I believe this was their third taping at the new venue and it is a great location. It is very similar to the old WCW Center Stage studio and is literally right across the street from the beach. I had to leave early due to a prior commitment but here are the results for the matches that I was able to watch:

Rudy def. Angel Lopez via pinfall

Todd Chandler def. Ricky Mandel via DQ. After the match Mandel and girlfriend Shelly Martinez attacked Chandler with a Singapore Cane. A fan was heckling Martinez before the match and she got in the fan's face and I believe spit something in his face.

Heritage Tag Team Champions PPRay (Ray Rosas & "Pretty" Peter Avalon) vs. RockNES Monsters ended in a no contest in a best of 7 falls match. The match was tied at 3-3 but the 45 minute time limit expired (the match was only about 20 minutes). After time expired Jon Ian came out and said he would determine who he felt won the match later on. These two teams have excellent chemistry together. PPRay have been the MVPs of CWFH in my opinion.

Jameson Holly def. Topher Cash via pinfall. Holly's character is that of a 1920s body builder. Great idea for a character but the match was slow paced.

James Morgan and Othello (w/ Stu Stone) def. "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce and Mikey O'Shea via pinfall when Morgan used a hammer and roll of quarters to knock out Pearce.

Eric Cross def. Ridiculoso via pinfall

Tommy Misfit & Gregory Sharpe def. Ethan HD & Mike Santiago via pinfall. Following the match Che Cabrera and Sasha Darevko attacked Misfit and Sharpe.

Mosh Pit Mike def. Manimal via countout when Hobo distracted Manimal from the balcony.

Cedric & Leo Blaze (w/ Stu Stone) def. Hoss & Ian Sutton via pinfall.

The night continued but unfortunately I had to leave early.
