WWE announced on Raw that Rob Van Dam will get a shot at Alberto Del Rio's World Title at the Night Of Champions PPV next month. Also, CM Punk will take on Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman in a handicap match. They join Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Title on the PPV.
WWE tapes Smackdown in Las Vegas, NV. We are looking for reports from the show so if you are going, please send along a report.
TMZ has a story at this link looking at Kofi Kingston and CM Punk going to the house where Breaking Bad's Walter White character "lives" in New Mexico. They were in the state for the house show tour over the weekend.
We talk about negatives in the business a lot of the time. It's nice to hear stories like this, which came from an Elite subscriber to the site. ... I am a huge fan of the site and long time subscriber. I just wanted to drop a note. My son, who is 10 years old, went to the El Paso Airport on Sunday and spent several hours waiting to meet the wrestlers as they landed. While a couple of them were not in the mood to talk to fans or interact, which I can respect (I mean that sincerely since this is their private time), there were several that were just plain awesome. The kindest of them were definitely the Divas. AJ Lee was far and away the sweetest and Kaitlyn and Layla were also great. Ryback would only take pictures with kids and I thought that was really cool too. Damian Sandow, Cody Rhodes and Paul Heyman were also really nice. I have been a life-long fan of wrestling and now to see my son get into it and we have that to share between is really great. I am not a big "celebrity" guy. I don't care about autographs or anything but for a young guy to get to see people he looks up to and get to interact with, he had the time of his life.
Now that is a great story. Way to go WWE stars.
