TNA sources noted over the last week that Sorensen was adamant about pushing for his return to the ring while under contract, even though he had not received medical clearance from his doctor. That was among the reasons he was let go.
Sorensen will step into the ring tonight for the first time since February 2012 when he suffered a broken C-1 vertebrae and herniated C-5 & C-6 discs in his back, temporarily paralyzing himself after being hit by Zema Ion during a dive to the outside.
