RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: CIAMPA VS. MARSHALL; THE FUTURE OF THE PRODIGY; JAY BRISCOE TALKS ABOUT NEXT WEEK'S TITLE MATCH; TAG TITLE MATCH; AND MORE

Steel Cage Warfare is two weeks away and the future of the company lays in the balance. Until then, we get to see another title match. This week, it is the tag titles and Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander get their title match in a standard tag match instead of the Triple Threat Match we saw at Best in the World.

We are in Baltimore, Maryland and your announcers are Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino.

We are told that Kevin Steen is now officially on Team ROH at Steel Cage Warfare in two weeks.

Match Number One: QT Marshall (with RD Evans) versus Tommaso Ciampa

Marshall wants to follow the Code of Honor but Ciampa would rather follow the Code of Flipping off your Opponent. Marshall goes for the knee but Ciampa figures he would do that so he moves out of the way and he connects with a knee to Marshall’s head for a near fall. Marshall rolls to the apron and Ciampa follows to the floor and he runs Marshall into the guardrails.

Ciampa chops Marshall and they return to the ring. Ciampa with a punch to the head but Marshall pulls Ciampa down and he wants to pull Ciampa’s leg into the ring post but Ciampa is able to pull Marshall into the ring post instead. Ciampa chops Marshall while he has fans hold him.

They return to the ring and Ciampa with a running knee to the head. Evans grabs the leg and Ciampa pulls Evans into the ring with a biel and Evans backs into the corner. Ciampa sets for a knee to the head but Marshall with a clothesline. Marshall puts Ciampa on the turnbuckles and he tries to get Ciampa on his shoulders but Ciampa fights him off. Marshall with a drop kick that staggers Ciampa and his knee is caught on the turnbuckles.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Marshall picks up Ciampa on the floor. Marshall rolls Ciampa back into the ring. Ciampa punches Marshall but Marshall backs Ciampa into the corner but Ciampa with an uppercut. Marshall grabs the leg and drops down to add more pressure. Marshall with a dive to the knee.

Marshall grabs a chair and sets it up on the floor and Marshall slams Ciampa’s leg onto the chair. Marshall sends Ciampa back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Marshall with an Indian Death Lock but Ciampa with chops to try to get out of the hold. Marshall with shots to the knee but Ciampa bites Marshall to escape the hold.

Marshall punches Ciampa but Ciampa punches back. Ciampa with forearms but Marshall with a kick to the knee. Ciampa with a clothesline and back elbow followed by a back body drop. Ciampa still favors his knee but he connects with a knee that sends Marshall over the top rope to the apron. Ciampa goes for the Air Raid Crash on the apron but Marshall escapes. Marshall with a forearm to Ciampa and he puts Ciampa on the turnbuckles. Ciampa kicks Marshall off the apron and then Ciampa goes up top and he hits a cross body but Ciampa appears to have done more damage to the knee.

Prince Nana appears at the entrance and Evans hides from his sight as he gives Marshall some advice. Marshall is helped back into the ring by Evans and Ciampa gets back at nineteen to stop the count. Marshall with punches to Ciampa while we watch Nana watching the match. Marshall flips the bird to Ciampa but Ciampa with an Air Raid Crash for a near fall.

Ciampa sets for Project Ciampa but Evans gets into the ring. Ciampa grabs Evans but RD escapes. Evans goes up the ramp, but he sees Nana and he returns to the ring. Ciampa with Project Ciampa to Evans and then Marshall takes advantage of the situation and he gets a near fall on Ciampa.

Marshall applies a Stretch Muffler but Ciampa with an inside cradle for a near fall. Ciampa with a knee to Marshall and then he connects with a second knee for the three count.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

After the match, Prince Nana returns to the back.

We are back with Inside Ring of Honor. This week we will take a look back at the World Title Match from Best in the World and look ahead to Jay Briscoe’s match against Matt Hardy. Kevin Steen is on Team ROH and we will hear from him. We will also talk about ROH’s return to Toronto and their debut in the former Maple Leaf Gardens.

Jay and Mark Briscoe battled at Best in the World. Mark suffered a concussion so he is out of Steel Cage Warfare while Jay is injured going into his match against Matt Hardy.

Steve Corino says that he could not plan it any better. In an attempt to prove which one is the biggest moron, they beat each other to a pulp. Mark is out with a concussion while Jay reinjured his shoulder and injured his back.

In one week, destiny shines on SCUM. His best friend, Matt Hardy will become the ROH Champion when he defeats Jay Briscoe. Steve says that Nigel cannot blame SCUM because Jay and Mark did this. Next week, Matt Hardy becomes champion. In two weeks, they go into the cage and they destroy Ring of Honor. At the end of the night, Ring of Honor burns.

Steel Cage Warfare is in two weeks and it is Ring of Honor’s most important match. Mark Briscoe is out of the match and Nigel McGuinness had an important message to make.

Kevin Steen says that Nigel had no choice to put him in this match. He says that he has heard that Nigel is worried because he is in the match, but Nigel does not have to worry because he is in the match.

On August 3rd, ROH debuts at the former Maple Leaf Gardens and Michael Elgin talks about the show. He says that he knows the heritage of the building. He says that he should be in the main event and he deserves the gold. When Nigel has to think of who should be in the main event, he has to look no further. Michael says that ‘Unbreakable’ is not a nickname, it is a way of life. When God said that he created all men equal, he was wrong.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Mike Bennett (with Maria Kanellis and Bob Evans) versus Nick Merriman

Bennett gives his jacket to Evans and then we get the Code of Honor but Bennett with a Box Office Smash followed by a TKO for the three count.

Winner: Mike Bennett

After the match, Mike gets on the mic and he asks ‘should I stay or should I go’. That seems to be the six million dollar question. Should he stay? Maybe he will go to Connecticut and earn a paycheck. Maybe he will stay.

Mike tells Bob to come into the center of the ring. Mike shows everyone a Ring of Honor contract. He says that everyone has been begging him to stay. Mike says that the fans need him to stay. Mike says that he does not need the people, but they need him. He says that it is a lucrative and long contract so everyone will see him for a long time.

Mike says that the fans are so smart because they chant ‘Yes’. Mike says that they wouldn’t know what a real star was if they bit him in the ass. People boo him, but they cheer for Cheeseburger. The crowd chants for him and he makes his way to ringside.

Mike tells him that they have had their problems but these fans are so stupid they would rather see him. Mike says that he has a very lucrative deal so why not offer it to him. He tells him to sign the contract.

Mike says that he has proven himself and he is tough. Mike respects that in him. Mike says that he could be the next Ring of Honor star. Bennett with a super kick to Cheeseburger and he punches him. Bennett pushes Evans away and Evans pulls Bennett off Cheeseburger.

The people cheer for Bob and Bennett with a Box Office Smash to Evans.

He says that for far too long, the Prodigy has been promoted as one thing. The Prodigy is dead.

Jay Briscoe makes his way to the ring and his shoulder is taped and wrapped. Jay has a mic and he says that there has been a lot of speculation after Best in the World about his health. He did reinjure his shoulder, but he is still breathing. He tells Matt Hardy if he thinks that he is forfeiting the title, he is wrong. He will have to pry the title out of his cold dead hands. He tells Matt he will see him next week.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander versus Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles

Fish has something to say to Coleman before the match starts. Alexander and O’Reilly start things off and they lock up and Kyle with a waist lock but Alexander with a standing switch but Kyle with a side head lock take down. Alexander with a head scissors and Kyle escapes and he works on the leg and goes for the side head lock. Kyle with a wrist lock but Cedric with a side head lock.

Alexander with a drop kick and then he blocks a drop kick from Kyle and he catapults Kyle into the turnbuckles. Alexander with a reverse atomic drop and Coleman with a punch. Coleman tags in and Kyle with a jawbreaker and Fish is tagged in.

Coleman with a hip toss and elbows to the head. Caprice with a slam and he misses a leg drop. Fish misses a kick and Coleman with an O’Connor Roll and he gets a near fall. Coleman with a leg lariat and he gets a near fall. Alexander tags in and Coleman with a suplex and Alexander with a slingshot senton for a near fall but Fish gets to the ropes.

Fish with a knee but Alexander with a European uppercut. Kyle with a kick to the back and Fish tries for a slam but Alexander escapes and he slams Fish. Kyle comes off the turnbuckles despite not making the tag and Alexander punches Kyle in the midsection. Fish with a knee and they go for a double suplex but Caprice catches Alexander.

Coleman and Alexander with a double drop kick. Coleman with a splash into the corner and the momentum sends him over the top rope onto Kyle on the floor. Alexander runs into a boot and Fish misses Alexander and goes over the top rope to the floor. Coleman uses the ring post for momentum for a kick to Fish. Alexander with a suicide dive onto Fish and O’Reilly.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Alexander and Fish are in the ring and Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards watch from the ramp. Coleman tags in and he punches Fish. Coleman with chops and forearms. Fish with a knee and he tags in O’Reilly. Coleman with a back body drop followed by a slam and he hits a leaping leg drop and gets a near fall.

Coleman with a leg lariat and he gets a near fall. Alexander tags in and Coleman with an elbow to Kyle in the corner followed by a clothesline to Fish that knocks him off the apron. Alexander runs into a boot from Kyle and then Kyle sends a charging Coleman over the top rope to the floor. Alexander with a running boot into the corner but Kyle blocks it and Fish with a leg sweep to take Alexander down. Fish runs Coleman into the guardrails while Kyle hits the hesitation drop kick off the apron.

Alexander sends Fish over the top rope to the floor and Alexander tries for a pescado but Fish moves and Alexander lands on his feet. Alexander goes after Fish but Bobby moves and Kyle with a shoulder tackle. Kyle sends Alexander back into the ring and he gets a near fall.

Davey and Eddie confront Steve Corino at the announce table and from out of nowhere, members of SCUM make their way to ringside and they brawl while a wrestling match continues in the ring. Kyle with a leg sweep to Alexander while Tadarius Thomas and ACH make their way to ringside.

While the focus is on the brawl at ringside, we get to see a near fall for O’Reilly. Fish enters the ring because he is not the legal man in the match and we cut to a fan’s sign. When we return to the action in the ring, Kyle has a cross arm breaker on Alexander. Coleman with a splash onto Kyle and Fish picks up Coleman and he hits a Falcon Arrow on Coleman.

Alexander with forearms while Fish with punches and kicks. Kyle with a punch to the head and then Fish hits a Saito suplex and Kyle gets a near fall. Fish tags in and he goes after Coleman on the apron. Alexander is able to make the tag to Coleman and he knocks Kyle off the apron. Coleman with a boot to Fish followed by an enzuigiri from Alexander.

Coleman gets Fish on his shoulders and Alexander with a double stomp to the back. Meanwhile, security makes their way to ringside so there are a lot of people surrounding the ring who are not involved in this match. Coleman with a Death Valley Driver onto Cedric’s knees. Coleman gets a near fall.

Alexander throws Kyle to the floor and Fish goes to the apron. Fish with a shoulder to Coleman and then Alexander knocks Fish off the apron, into the crowd o’people who shouldn’t be at ringside. Alexander ducks Kyle and he hits a plancha onto the people on the floor.

Kyle tries for a suplex on Coleman but Coleman with a knee. Coleman with a knee in the corner and he goes for the leaping rana but Fish holds Kyle. Kyle with a tornado DDT and then he gets Coleman up and Fish with a kick before Kyle hits the brainbuster and Fish gets the three count.

Winners: Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish

After the match, everyone enters the ring to brawl while we are reminded that the World Title is on the line next week. We go to credits.
