With Ryback referring to Cena as 'Super Cena' during a recent Raw segment with Mick Foley, and Dolph Ziggler tweeting 'I bet Cena does some new material' recently about an upcoming Raw, is there a feeling amongst the locker room that Cena is resting on his laurels a little at the top or is it more WWE poking fun at the internet audience with inside terms?
People in WWE have eyes and ears. They see how Cena is booked. But yeah, it's more just that creative is having fun tweaking us.
Can I ask why The Rock never appeared at the last 2 Hall of fame's/Wrestlemania Axxess events despite being booked on the actual PPV? Hall of fame particularly I can't understand why he wouldn't attend.
He isn't gonna appear at Axxess! He is a movie star that wrestles, not a WWE wrestler. As for the Hall, I can't say. I don't know what his schedule was on those days. I see that as being something he should do if he wants to, but if not no big deal.
I can imagine that lots of people have already asked this, but with the Extreme Rules PPV being just around the corner I have to ask. Why does WWE not set up a ECW-like show? There's obviously an audience for that and even some wrestlers seem to be interested in a non-PG show (Batista would be one of them). They've got shows like Saturday Morning Slam and Main Event, so why not set up something non-PG as a minor show as well? Is there any good reason?
They already did have that show, the ECW remake. They quickly turned it into a WWE style product because that is the only kind of show Vince McMahon wants to produce. It is that simple.
Saw the comment/question about Ryback Rules with O'doyle Rules and it cracked me up. I was feeling it was more as a stab at "Zeus" with the shaking head/intense look. Anyway, segue time. With Ryback squashing Ryder (which made Ryback look best since his heel turn in a match imo) and Ryder jobbing to everyone, why is he hanging around? I know he gets paid but he seems like the type who loves to wrestle too much to take a paycheck. Do you see him turning up in Impact or other venues? He's in his prime and it's being wasted as a jobber just like the Hardy's and by the time it's realized he wont be able to perform in the Main Event (if he gets in those) as well as he is now. Thoughts?
It is very easy to make decisions about other people's money when it doesn't affect you! For one thing, he is under contract. For another, the pay is much better than he would get anywhere else. Would TNA book him any better? Probably not. And they wouldn't pay him as much. Indies? Please, that is a last resort. I don't blame him a bit.
So they open tonight's Raw with a dance off between Jericho and Fandango. This to draw the audience in. My question.....REALLY????
Because anything can happen on The Vince McMahon Variety Show, er in WWE.
