50th ANNIVERSARY OF BRUNO SAMMARTINO'S WWWF TITLE WIN TO BE CELEBRATED TODAY IN PITTSBURGH

WWE Hall of Famer Bruno Sammartino will be honored today in Pittsburgh, PA to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his title win over Buddy Rogers.

Sammartino will be honored this morning at 11 AM at the Allegheny County Courthouse.

Bruno's website posted video of Triple H showing Bruno the original WWWF title belt, which the company's archivist tracked down. The belt had been discovered in wrestler Johnny Barend's attic last year and acquired by belt-maker Dave Millican, so WWE acquired it from him. The belt was on display at AXXESS earlier this year:
