In a statement released on their website on Thursday evening, announced that while they are removing the video of the Hulk Hogan-Heather Clem sex tape, as they were ordered by a judge this week, they will not adhere to the entire ruling.

Gawker announced that they will not remove their recap of the tape, noting the report is covered under free speech and that they will defend that decision. They noted that the judge's language during the hearing made it clear only the tape was to be removed, but the language of the order listed all the articles.

Gawker also noted they are appealing the ruling requiring them to remove the video.
