The new Wrestling Cares Association promotion, headed by David Jackson and Les Thatcher, will hold their debut event in the Los Angeles market tonight at the Alexandria Ballroom (501 South Spring Street). Jackson comes from a background working with charitable groups and non-profit organizations. Cares will be donating 25% of all live events to different California based charities.

The promotion will be built around a year long “Race for the Ring” tournament where the winner will receive a special custom made ring. The debut event will feature the first bracket of the tournament, featuring:

*Davey Richards vs. Kyle O’Reily.

*Caprice Coleman vs. Steve Anthony.

*Colt Cabana vs. Kyle Matthews.

*Ryan Taylor vs. Jamin Olivencia.

*Adam Cole vs. Anthony Nese.

*Pepper Parks vs. Vordell Walker.

*Drew Gulak vs. Bobby Sharp.

*B-Boy vs. Jeff McAllister.

Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis will appear as the Hostess of the evening.

Former ROH champion Nigel McGuinness is also involved with the promotion in a backstage capacity.
