BIG AMERICAN NAMES DEPART NEW JAPAN, KENDRICK PROMOTING KING OF FLIGHT TOURNAMENT, CABANA & DEROSA'S 'WORST PROMO EVER' RETURNS AND MORE NEWS

From the "this is interesting" department, New Japan Pro Wrestling removed MVP, Low Ki and Shelton Benjamin from their roster yesterday. MVP wrote on his Twitter page that he had quit the company but the door was open for a return. He noted he would return to wrestling eventually but wanted to work on a TV show he was trying to develop. There's been talk of WWE wanting to bring in some well versed in-ring veterans and all three would hit that description, so we will see.

Brian Kendrick will be running his first show on 3/24 in California at the Pappy Pineda Dome. Titled "King of Flight", appearing for the one night tournament are Kendrick, The Young Bucks, Samuray del Sol, Paul London, Ricochet, Amazing Red, Ricochet and Rich Swann

Highspots.com is starting work on a documentary about the rise and fall of Jim Crockett Promotions next month.
