BRUTAL MOMENT IN JOHN CENA HISTORY, ESPN RATES WWE STARS, WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A SEAT FILLER AT RAW AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2013-01-22 13:46:50

For anyone who thinks I am too hard on John Cena's promos, I dare you to watch his "work" from the end of Raw and not say it was brutal.  Anyone who thought "Skidmarks 187" was a good idea to say on TV should be fired.  He tries so hard to be glib and cool but he is just too much of a dork to pull it off.  Sheamus was right on the money when he came out and said Cena's bit was bizarre.  That was being kind.  On the other hand, The Rock and CM Punk were outstanding last evening.

Ratings have been delayed to the Martin Luther King holiday.

Speaking of Rock he sold his worked injury from last night's Raw on Twitter writing: "Diagnosis: Internal bleeding - lungs. Torn blood vessels. Thank U @WWE Universe. Just part of the job - I'll be good."

ESPN.com has a story covering WWE's Power Ratings (which is odd to me since they cover sports). Their top three are CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler and The Shield.

Here is a link to an interesting article in the Houston Press where the author talks about being a "seat filler" at last week's Raw.  WWE doesn't want empty seats on camera folks!

Here is the latest trailer for Steve Austin's new movie "The Package".
