BY THE NUMBERS: LOOKING BACK AT THE WEEK IN WRESTLING ON TELEVISION FROM WWE, TNA, AND ROH

By Richard Trionfo on 2013-01-20 00:03:45
For the first time in almost a month, we have a full slate of television shows. Even with all seven shows represented, we had six fewer minutes of wrestling than last week when there was no Ring of Honor. This drop was due to two special event episodes of television where wrestling was at best secondary. Raw saw a drop of more than twenty minutes from last week for its 20th Anniversary Show and Impact dropped below twenty minutes for the week thanks to the wedding of Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan.

Raw won the week again, but their advantage over second place was down from thirty minutes to six minutes. Smackdown moved back into second place while Main Event fell to third place. Ring of Honor returned in fourth place while NXT took fifth place. Impact fell to sixth place and finished only five minutes out of last place, which was held by Superstars one more time.

Main Event had a very Austin feel to it after reaching 316 minutes after sixteen weeks on the air. NXT reached 450 matches while Raw moves closer to one thousand matches. With the recent total of ten minute matches, we should pass five hundred ten minute matches.

The times in the ‘Over the Top Rope Challenge’ on Raw were:
Jinder Mahal: 2 Minutes
Drew McIntyre: 3 Minutes
Sheamus: 3 Minutes
Heath Slater: 3 Minutes

This column does not include the matches from WWE's Saturday Morning Slam show.

The wrestling times below cover the wrestling that takes place during the show so commercials are not included. All times are rounded to the closest minute (examples: a 4:23 match will be listed as 4 minutes while a 4:32 match will be listed as 5 minutes and anything under a minute is rounded up to a minute).
