As those of you who heard my post-game audio know, I thought this segment was tremendous with Punk bringing some of the best mic work of his WWE career. I think a lot of the promo will go over fans' heads but he was as much ranting about the state of WWE and what talents go through to attempt to get over as much as anything else.
Rock was, obviously, smooth as hell on the mic and really funny, but what made the segment to me was that Punk didn't start selling the insults and reacting like your typical WWE heel would, instead standing his ground and saying at the end of the day, no matter what, he was going to take Rock out.
Really great stuff, almost to the point it made me wish this match was the Wrestlemania main event and not the Royal Rumble's. You can watch it below:
