FORMER WWF STAR ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT PLANS

UFC Hall of Famer and former NWA champion Dan Severn announced yesterday that with the end of 2012, he has officially retired as a competitor in the MMA.

Severn stated that he would be taking pro wrestling bookings through the end of 2013 and then he would be completely out of the ring as a performer.

Severn, who held the NWA title in the mid 1990s also had a run in the WWF where he feuded with Owen Hart and Ken Shamrock, among others.
