12/26 WWE RESULTS FROM DETROIT, MI, THE FIRST LEG OF THE RYBACK, KANE, BRYAN, SHIELD DOUBLE SHOT TOUR

By Jim Morris on 2012-12-27 10:10:24

The show opened with Vickie Guerrero announcing that Dolph Ziggler vs. John Cena would take place in a steel cage as the main event.

The show opened with Team Hell No and Ryback vs. The Shield (since they had to also work the show in Chicago).  The Shield entered through the crowd.  The Shield got the win here in a good match.

Brodus Clay beat JTG.  Jack Swagger came out and challenged Brodus.  Swagger lost too.

Eve beat Kaitlyn to retain the Divas title.

Santino Marella beat David Otunga with The Cobra.

The New Age Outlaws beat The Rhodes Scholars.  You read that correctly.  The Outlaws did get a huge pop and at least it was only a house show so the world didn't see supposed contenders lose to old guys.

Zack Ryder beat Tensai pretty quickly.

The Usos beat The Primetime Players.  It was a pretty good match honestly.

Antonio Cesaro beat The Miz to retain the US Title.

Despite interference from Big E Langston, John Cena still managed to beat Dolph Ziggler in the main event.

The lack of depth on the roster was really evident at the show.  WWE has to fix that problem and soon.
