WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: WHEN IS TOUCHING NOT TOUCHING; WHO WILL BE HAPPIEST THAT THE PAY PER VIEW IS SUNDAY

By Richard Trionfo on 2012-12-15 04:38:41
The Shield is doing their best to make the lives of every WWE Superstar miserable. What will the Shield do tonight less than forty-eight hours away from their pay per view wrestling debut? Will Ryback, Daniel Bryan, or Kane get an early chance at these three radicals? What about Sheamus and Big Show. They cannot make contact with each other, but will they find other ways?

This week, Smackdown is in Bridgeport, Connecticut and your announcers are Josh ‘Nutmeg’ Mathews and John ‘Good thing I don’t have a no contact clause with my broadcast partner’ Layfield.

Antonio Cesaro and Sheamus are at the announce table so that must mean that their opponents are wrestling in the next match.

After the match, Show leaves the ring on the side where the announce table is and he tries to get Sheamus to hit him. Antonio Cesaro hits Sheamus from behind and Sheamus collides with Show.

Show is smiling and he claims that Sheamus hit him. Show tells Sheamus the match is off.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we have a Moments Ago Moment of the collision between Show and Sheamus. Josh and John wonder if this means that the match is off on Sunday.

Big Show is walking in the back and he wants to know if Booker saw what Sheamus did. Show says that Sheamus violated the ‘No Contact’ clause and the match is off.

Booker says Cesaro bumped into Sheamus and Sheamus bumped into Show. Booker says that where he comes from, they have a saying . . . if you are afraid of Sheamus just say it.

Show reminds Booker that Sheamus violated the No Contact Clause.

Booker says that the match is still on.

Damien Sandow is in the ring. He introduces himself and he tells us that for the last fortnight, he has been scouring the WWE Universe in hopes to find one . . . just one individual who is worthy to become his apprentice. Sandow says sadly his quest has been like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

A disgusting, sweaty, vile, knuckle dragging, mouth breathing, monosyllabic haystack. Therefore, it is with esteemed pleasure that he reintroduces to everyone his tag team partner . . . and best friend. Damien wants everyone to stand and remain silent . . . a request that does not work too well. He wants everyone to show the proper reverence for the magnificent, marvelous, mustachioed Cody Rhodes.

Cody makes his way to the ring and we see footage from the elimination tag match on Raw.

Cody is in the ring and he has a mic. Cody says the feeling is honor and it is an honor to be standing back in the ring with Damien again.

Cody says that there is no need for an apprentice because Damien has his partner and his equal back with him.

We are back and Big Show and David Otunga are in the ring. David drinks while Show says that everyone clearly saw Sheamus put his hands on him. It is not Show’s fault that Sheamus could not control his Irish temper. By putting his hands on Show, Sheamus violated the No Contact Clause so it invalidates the World Title Match.

If Booker will not listen to him, maybe Booker will listen to his legal counsel, David Otunga. Last week, Big Show and Sheamus entered into a legally binding contract. Now Booker is refusing to follow his own rules. It is not something that should be handled by a clearly biased general manager. They will bring it to the WWE Board of Directors.

They will demand that the Chairs Match be called off and that Booker be removed as General Manager of Smackdown.

Booker T’s music plays and he makes his way onto the stage.

Booker tells Otunga that is obvious to him and everyone in here that his Harvard degree is not worth the paper it is printed on. Booker says that the contracts ordered not by the letter of the law, but by the spirit of the intent.

Otunga objects.

Booker says that if Otunga wants to waste the time of the Board of Directors, he can. The match between Big Show and Sheamus is still on.

Show yells that the contract was violated.

Otunga tells Booker that because he has been in prison, it does not make him a legal expert. It is clear that Sheamus violated the contract. After he gets the Board to fire Booker, he will get them to fire Sheamus too.

Otunga asks Booker to give Show one good reason not to proceed.

Before Booker can give his reason, Sheamus’ music plays and Sheamus heads to the ring with a chair and a mic. Sheamus gives Booker a reason. Sheamus says that if the match is off, there is nothing stopping him from kicking Show’s arse right now.

Sheamus prepares to swing the chair and Show says the contract is still valid in his opinion too. Show leaves the ring, but Otunga stays in there.

Sheamus realizes that there is a coffee drinking sweater wearing lawyer in the ring so he gives Otunga a Brogue Kick.
