BY THE NUMBERS: LOOKING BACK AT THE WEEK IN WRESTLING FROM WWE, TNA, AND ROH

By Richard Trionfo on 2012-12-10 12:57:09
Another week of wrestling on television is in the books and Raw wins another week due to the extra hour of wrestling. Even though Raw won the week, it was one of three shows to have less wrestling than last week. In addition to Raw, Smackdown, which fell to third for the week, and Ring of Honor, which fell below twenty minutes, saw less wrestling than the previous week.

The only shows to have more wrestling this week than last week were NXT which saw a six minute increase and Impact which had two more minutes than last week and moved into second for the week. The other two shows, Superstars and Main Event saw the same amount of wrestling as last week. Superstars stayed in single digits for the third time in the last four weeks.

Main Event is establishing a pattern similar to Ring of Honor during the HDNet days. For the ninth time in the ten week history of Main Event, we have had a ten minute match on the show.

Next week’s opening match on Raw will be the nine hundredth match since I started this column and we passed thirty seven hundred matches this week. Ring of Honor passed twenty-four hundred minutes. We are slowly moving to twenty thousand minutes of wrestling, which should take place in two weeks.

This column does not include the matches from WWE's Saturday Morning Slam show.

The wrestling times below cover the wrestling that takes place during the show so commercials are not included. All times are rounded to the closest minute (examples: a 4:23 match will be listed as 4 minutes while a 4:32 match will be listed as 5 minutes and anything under a minute is rounded up to a minute).
