ALL TIME GREAT RETIRES FROM THE RING, PRO WRESTLING HALL OF FAME ANNOUNCES 2013 CLASS

By Mike Johnson on 2012-12-10 09:17:56
Kenta Kobashi, one of the greatest in-ring workers of all time (and if you don't believe me, hit Youtube and prepare to be amazed) announced yesterday he will be officially retiring. Kobashi's work in All Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling NOAH is the stuff of legend. I sat ringside for his lone appearance in the United States, facing Samoa Joe for Ring of Honor and I literally just got chills thinking about the match as I typed this. It was one of the most brutally awesome, hard hitting matches I have ever seen and will ever see.

The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in Amsterdam, NY announced their Class of 2013 Inductees in advance of their May 2013 inductions:

Pioneer Era: Sandor Szabo and Dick Shikat

TV Era: Bill Watts and Baron Von Raschke

Tag Team: The Assassins {Jody Hamilton and Tom Renesto}

Modern Era: Tito Santana and Dick Murdoch.

Colleague: J.J. Dillon

Ladies: Joyce Grable

International: El Santo.

The annual Induction Dinner will be held on May 18th at the Holiday Inn in Johnstown, NY. For more details, visit www.PWHF.org.
