The article noted that Flair currently has a federal tax lien for $237,436 in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties. Flair also owes the North Carolina Department of Revenue $41,358 in taxes, penalty and interest, during the same time period where he's been doing commercials for the State Lottery.
In regards to allegations made by Jacqueline of Flair's behavior during his marriage, his attorney, Larry Hewitt told The Observer, "He denies all those allegations of misconduct. He contends she committed acts of marital misconduct and domestic violence. The issues will all be resolved in the courtroom."
The Observer report noted that Jacqueline's allegations includes claims of Flair treating her “in a cruel or barbarous manner", and that he "recklessly spent" his wife’s income while concealing his own assets.
