RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: ELGIN/RICHARDS; DAVEY RICHARDS MAKES A DEMAND FOR FINAL BATTLE; NIGEL IS THE LAW, WILL THERE BE ANY DREAD OVER HIS DECISIONS?; AND MORE

As Final Battle: DOOMSDAY approaches, Ring of Honor continues to set the table for the final iPPV of the year for the company. What will happen when the men who met in the main event at Showdown in the Sun Day Two meet one more time?

This week’s show comes from Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania and your announcers are Kevin ‘Junior Bruce’ Kelly and Caleb ‘Not going for the obvious’ Seltzer.

Match Number One: The Headbangers versus The Briscoes

All four men battle before the bell and Jay and Trasher go to the floor. Mosh and Jay battle in the ring and Mosh with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Mosh runs into a boot and Jay with punches. Mark makes the blind tag and Mark with a springboard drop kick and Jay with a splash. We see the guardrails while Trasher pulls Mark off the ropes and sends him into the guardrails.

Thrasher tags in and he battles with Mark on the floor. Thrasher with an Irish whip into the ring post and Mark’s head hits the steel. Mark makes his way back into the ring and Mosh with a springboard shoulder tackle. Mosh sends Mark to the floor with a gourdbuster.

Thrasher with a suplex on the floor followed by a kick. Mark chickens up but Mosh and Thrasher with some double team work on the floor. Mosh tags in and hits a springboard clothesline for a near fall. Mosh with kicks to the back followed by an Irish whip but Mark catches Mosh in the corner and hits a belly-to-back suplex.

Thrasher tags in and he knocks Jay off the apron to prevent the tag. Thrasher with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Mark with an elbow and chop before making the tag to Jay. Jay and Mosh exchange punches and then Jay with jabs and a drop kick. Jay with a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.

Jay with a uranage followed by an elbow drop from Mark but Thrasher breaks up the cover. Mark gets sent to the floor by Thrasher. Jay with a kick and forearm to Thrasher. Thrasher and Mosh double team Jay but Mark pulls Thrasher to the floor. Jay with an inside cradle for the three count.

Winners: The Briscoe Brothers

We go to commercial.

We are back and Veda Scott is with Davey Richards and Nigel McGuinness. Veda asks Nigel about Davey’s condition. Nigel says that when you look at Davey, he got pasted by Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Nigel wants to know if Davey really wants to face Michael Elgin tonight.

Davey says that this is a hurt business and he asks Nigel how many times he wrestled with injuries when he faced the best in the world to defend the ROH World Title. He says that it is a pain game. Davey says that he will go out there and fight.

Speaking of Fish and O’Reilly, Davey asks Nigel to allow him to make things right. He wants The American Wolves together to face Fish and O’Reilly.

Nigel mentions that Eddie is in Japan so he cannot call him to find out if he will do it.

Davey asks Nigel to do it and he has faith in Eddie.

Nigel says that he will e-mail Eddie. If Eddie does not want to team with Davey, then Eddie will not be able to wrestle at all at Final Battle.

Match Number Two: Adam Page versus QT Marshall (with R D Evans)

They lock up and Marshall with a knee and punch. Page with a spinning heel kick followed by chops. Page blocks a kick and connects with a punch to the top of the head. Stuff goes on in the ring while we see Kelly give Evans the third degree. Page goes to the turnbuckles but Marshall pulls Page off the turnbuckles and his arm falls on the ropes.

Marshall with a punch and slam. Marshall with elbow drops and then he walks across Page’s face. Page with chops and kicks. Marshall with a tilt-a-whirl slam and gets a near fall. Marshall with boots to the head while his nose continues to bleed. Page with a kick to the chest and chops.

Marshall with a knee and he tries for a suplex but Page lands on his feet. Page with a power slam for a near fall. Marshall with a shoulder and Page escapes a slam attempt. Page tries for an O’Connor Roll but Marshall holds on to the ropes. Page with a standing moonsault for a near fall. Page goes up top for a cross body but Marshall with a gut buster. Marshall with God’s Gift for the three count.

Winner: QT Marshall

After the match, Prince Nana comes to the ring and he hits a clothesline from the top to Evans. Marshall goes after Nana but Nana ducks and Marshall goes to the floor. Nana removes Evans’ clothing as referees come to the ring to restore honor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Kevin Kelly is in the ring with RD Evans and QT Marshall. Nigel McGuinness is in the ring as well and before Kevin can explain the situation, Evans takes the mic from Kevin.

Evans says that he is outraged. Prince Nana did not just violate him physically, he hurt him emotionally. Evans says that he is under severe psychological distress and it is on Nigel’s hands as the authority figure of Ring of Honor. He says that he has a restraining order against that peasant Nana and the attack that was perpetrated on him is Nigel’s fault.

Nigel tells RD to keep his pants on.

Evans says that he demands restitution, not comedy.

Nigel says that if Evans wants restitution, he will give him restitution. He will not be pushed around and he will not listen to the whims of a man with the genitals of a four year old. Nigel tells Evans that there is only one way to settle this. RD Evans on one side of the ring and Prince Nana on the other. One fight to a decision. He tells Evans that if he does not like it, RD and QT can leave ROH forever. He says that he can worry about a lawsuit later.

We go to COUNTDOWN TO DOOMSDAY on Inside Ring of Honor.

We have two more matches announced for Final Battle.

The first match is a New York City Street Fight with Rhett Titus and BJ Whitmer facing Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. Kevin says that Nigel was outraged at what happened last week with the demands made by Charlie and Shelton as well as the interference during their tag matches.

The second match announced for Final Battle involved someone who is not even aware that he is in the match. After what happened last week, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly will now face Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards.

Next week, Kevin Steen defends the Ring of Honor World Title against Mike Bennett.

Match Number Three: Davey Richards versus Michael Elgin

Before the match starts, Truth Martini makes his way to ringside and Kevin and Caleb don’t know why Truth would be out here.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Truth Martini is in the ring and he tells Michael Elgin on that one day when he needed him the most, Rhino injured him in Toronto. Truth says that if he was there, he knows that Elgin would have beaten Kevin Steen to be the new Ring of Honor World Champion. He will not let Elgin down again. They believe in family, unity, and the House of Truth. If Elgin promises not to face Roderick Strong at Final Battle, he promises Elgin that he will become the ROH World Champion.

Michael promises Truth that at Final Battle he will kill Roderick Strong. If Truth doesn’t leave, what Rhino did to Truth will be sunshine and lollipops compared to what Rhino did to him.

Davey misses a boot to the head and Davey takes Elgin to the mat and tries for the ankle lock but Elgin escapes. Davey tries for another boot to the head but Elgin moves. Richards with a forearm but Elgin returns fire. They continue to go back and forth. Richards with a side head lock but there is a deadlock when they try for a shoulder tackle.

Richards with a drop kick and Elgin goes to the floor. Richards misses the running kick from the apron the first time but he does not miss a second time. Richards with an Irish whip into the guardrails followed by a Yakuza kick. Elgin Irish whips Richards into the guardrails and Elgin with a kick to the head.

They return to the ring and Richards goes for the ankle and he puts Elgin in the ankle lock but Elgin is able to escape and he sends Richards to the floor. Richards tries to send Elgin into the turnbuckles but Elgin blocks it. Richards blocks Elgin’s attempt. Richards tries to suplex Elgin to the floor but Elgin blocks it and he connects with a punch and then Elgin with a dead lift superplex and Elgin gets a near fall.

Elgin with an elbow drop and forearm to the head. Richards with a forearm and then they go back and forth again until Davey gets the advantage. Davey tries for the handspring back elbow and Elgin gets Davey on his shoulders. Richards with a crucifix cover for a near fall but Elgin picks up Davey and hits a running Death Valley Driver into the turnbuckles for a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and both men are down. Richards gets to his feet first and he connects with a forearm. Elgin with a forearm. Richards and Elgin continue with forearms. Richards with a back heel kick but Elgin with an elbow. Richards wit a drop kick and a tope suicida onto Elgin and both men are down.

Richards returns Elgin to the ring and he goes up top and hits a missile drop kick. Richards runs into a boot from Elgin but Richards with a kick and German suplex. Richards with a cross arm breaker to Elgin but Elgin rolls through and picks up Davey and he sends Dave into the turnbuckles. Richards and Elgin with forearms. Elgin tries for an enzuigiri and Richards blocks it and applies the ankle lock.

Elgin gets to the ropes and Richards releases the hold. Richards tries for a power slam but Elgin blocks it and he tries for one. Elgin with Chaos Theory for a near fall. Elgin starts to favor his ankle after the ankle locks during the match. Elgin puts Davey on top and Michael sets for a superplex. Richards blocks it and he applies a kimura on the turnbuckles and he head butts Elgin to send him to the mat. Richards goes up top and tries for the double stomp but Elgin moves. Richards counters a power slam with a tombstone piledriver for a near fall.

They both go to the apron and Richards looks to the floor and maybe he will try to suplex Elgin to the floor. They go back and forth with punches. Davey with a head butt and then he connects with Kawada kicks. Elgin with a cravate and knees to the head. Richards with more Kawada kicks. Elgin with more knees to the head. Elgin picks up Richards and tries for a superplex but Richards with an enzuigiri to stagger Elgin.

Richards tries for a superplex but Elgin stops Davey and he punches Davey to try to send him back to the canvas. Richards with head butts and then Davey hits the superplex and he rolls through but Michael counters with a sit out side slam for a near fall. Elgin goes up top for a corkscrew senton but Richards moves. Davey with a running forearm into the corner followed by a running knee to the head. Richards puts Elgin on the top turnbuckle.

Davey with forearms and Davey tries for another superplex but Elgin counters with a super Schwein for a near fall. Elgin with a corkscrew senton for a near fall. Elgin applies the Crippler Crossface but Richards locks his hands and gets a near fall.

Elgin with a knee followed by a roaring elbow a spinning back fist and a buckle bomb. Elgin with the spinning power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Michael Elgin

After the match, officials check on Richards and Elgin. They shake hands and there is honor as we go to credits.
