BY THE NUMBERS: LOOKING BACK AT THE WEEK IN WRESTLING ON TELEVISION FROM WWE, TNA, AND ROH: RAW HITS 4000

By Richard Trionfo on 2012-11-28 09:11:46
After a dozen dozen shows, we finally saw a show pass the four thousand minute mark and it was WWE Raw. Thanks to twenty-nine extra hours of television than Smackdown, and a three hour weekly show, there is the opportunity for more wrestling. Winning the week with fifty-three minutes put them ten minutes past the mark.

Smackdown finished second and it should join Raw over four thousand minutes. Impact finished third for the week and passed thirty-seven hundred minutes of wrestling. NXT finished fourth for the week followed by Ring of Honor, Main Event, and Superstars finished in last place one more time.

In a minor milestone, this week saw the one hundredth episode of Ring of Honor television since I started this column. If Ring of Honor maintained its average per hour and aired for each of the one hundred forty-four weeks, the would have three thousand four hundred thirteen minutes of wrestling, which would have put the show solidly in fourth place and only a little more than three hundred minutes behind Impact.

The time for the Orton/Del Rio match on Raw includes the time between falls while the individual falls are from bell to bell.

This column does not include the matches from WWE's Saturday Morning Slam show.

The wrestling times below cover the wrestling that takes place during the show so commercials are not included. All times are rounded to the closest minute (examples: a 4:23 match will be listed as 4 minutes while a 4:32 match will be listed as 5 minutes and anything under a minute is rounded up to a minute).
