THE GOBBLEDY GOOKER, WWE VS. TNA IN TOY STORES, PENNY BANNER AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-11-22 10:00:00
Whatever happened to the Gobbledy Gooker?

WWE still has the costume I am sure, but the Gooker was portrayed by Hector Guerrero, who is now working as an announcer for TNA.

If this whole storyline involving former Raw GM AJ Lee rumored to be seeing WWE's poster boy John Cena is suppose to lead to a confrontation between Lee & Cena against Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero in a mixed tag team match sometime later this year what happens then? Lets say Guerrero & Ziggler win. Does that mean VG was right? What if Lee & Cena win? It proves that all the accusations were unfounded? It feels like this whole trip is leading to a dead end with no logical conclusion. Opinion?

It would mean that they ran an angle that tried to make the company some money, but you are right, when you think about it logically, the entire scenario makes very little sense.

I read where WWE Diva star Tamina Snuka was returing to Raw last night. As far as I know she never appeared. What's the latest on her? When is she expected to return?

Snuka appeared in a backstage vignette.

You were recently asked what name would you like to see made into a documentary. I'd like to ask what female wrestling star, past or present, would you like made into a documentary?

I'd love to see a film on Penny Banner, who was one of the top stars in the industry in the 1960s, dated Elvis and was one of the toughest, yet prettiest ladies in the world. She had a fascinating autobiography and her story would make a great film.

I went to my local Toys R Us store just to do some browsing. I noticed the store sold WWE items but never saw anything from TNA. Does Toys R Us sell merchandise from TNA? Does WWE have exclusive rights with Toys to sell their wares at Toys R Us? Just them nobody else.

Toys R' Us does indeed carry TNA merchandise, but they don't get the amount of space devoted to their wares that WWE does.
