DRAGON GATE USA NEWS AND NOTES

A few readers have asked about the Dragon Gate USA status of Bobby Fish going forward as he debuted for Ring of Honor over the weekend. Fish is done here. Gabe Sapolsky characterized it as a "mutual parting" and that he'd love to work with Fish down the line if they had the chance. The feeling was that Fish had done everything he could in the promotion, especially since booking him was handicapped by the fact that as a NOAH regular, he couldn't do job to Dragon Gate talents. Sapolsky praised him as helping them getting the EVOLVE brand going.

Johnny Gargano retained the DGUSA Open the Freedom Gate champion over Ryo Saito on 10/6 in Japan. CIMA & AR Fox defended and retained the DGUSA Tag straps against Masato Yoshino & Naruki Doi over the weekend as well.
