WWE RETURNING TO CW NETWORK WITH NEW SERIES

As we reported on Wednesday in the PWInsider.com Elite section Wrap, WWE's new Saturday morning series will be part of a Saturday morning programming block on the CW Network.

WWE will be partnering with Saban Entertainment (owners of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers) to provide a weekly 30 minute series "Saturday Morning Slam" as part of a five hour programming block titled Vortexx, designed to appeal to young boys.

The Los Angeles Times featured a piece on the programming block and WWE's involvement, noting that the series will be focused on kids, feature one original bout a week and will be tailored for a PG audience with the company's Be A Star initiative a big part of the programming. The new series will debut Saturday 8/25.
