WRESTLER'S RESCUE POSTS PROOF THEY SENT KAMALA MONEY BUT IT WAS RETURNED, REP TAKES SHOT AT KAMALA'S HEALTH SITUTION

By Mike Johnson on 2012-08-03 09:43:15
Dawn Marie and her agent Michele Mupo took to Twitter yesterday to respond to the allegations that Kamala received nothing from Marie's organization, Wrestler's Rescue.

Mupo used her Twitter account to post three images. The first, a check written to James "Kamala" Harris. The second, a note from the bank showing that there was a stop payment made on the check. The third, showing the return of the check sent to Harris via certified mail.

Mupo went on to comment, "98% people w/ diabetes Live a long life because they follow a diet after they are diagnosed . How long did Kamala know he had this disease?"

Dawn Marie went on to accuse The Blue Meanie, who had spoke out against the group online, telling a story of how he had donated items to be sold for a fund designed to raise money for Jerry Lynn only to learn that Lynn never received anything, of trying to use the issue to get attention for himself, writing, "Hey Brian United states post office does not lie. Look where are the stamps came from And look where it says Sorry we missed you. You're just trying to get back on the map aren't you brian. Use whatever publicity you can. I'm tweeting about to my 600,000 followers lol"

PWInsider.com has independently confirmed that no funds were ever dispersed to Lynn.

Note from Mike: Regarding the Kamala situation, it's an odd situation. Why would Harris go online and condemn different groups unless he didn't believe there was money being sent? Is it possible he was trying to work people to feel sorry for him? Sure, but it's not like he carried with him a carny reputation during his career. He was never seen within the business as someone trying to bilk others out of money.

So, why would he now take to a video to speak out against two different groups trying to raise funds unless he believed what he was saying. In the video, he told both groups that he didn't want the money at this point.

It's quite interesting that both entities had sent the money to arrive on the same week he publicly condemned them, especially since if you saw the video, you would know he's not in a place to be taking hundreds of dollars and passing it up. There's obvious more to the entire situation, although whether it's ever completely unearthed is another matter.

Obviously the public declaration is going to bring criticism on Wrestler's Rescue from those who don't believe what they are doing is legitimate. It's on Rescue to prove themselves in that regard, not respond with bristling insults. Yes, Rescue can certainly can say they sent Harris money with the photos that were posted online, but a more interesting question is this - why is a a rep for an organization designed to help pro wrestlers in their time of need mocking the dire medical situation of a wrestler who's obviously gone through a lot physically, mentally and emotionally? Do you tell the lung cancer patient they shouldn't have smoked when they are suffering? I think not.

If anything, the situation has shown the need for Wrestler's Rescue to make their fundraising and their dispersal details publicly available for scrutiny and accounting. Then and only then, will they silence their critics and truly have a chance of getting the majority of the business to assist them in doing what their mission statement is.

Insulting James Harris for his medical issues won't do that. Comparing Twitter followers won't do that. Not giving money to Jerry Lynn won't do that. Coming clean with an accounting of the books will and until they do they, they are always going to be held under scrutiny and criticism and disbelief, because that's human nature, especially when the Kamalas of the world speak out.
