JOHNNY GARGANO DGUSA CONTRACT UPDATE AND LOTS MORE DGUSA NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2012-08-01 12:32:56
DGUSA Open the Freedom Gate champion Johnny Gargano has signed a new two year deal with Dragon Gate USA.

The promotion was happy with the buys for both iPPVs over the weekend and specifically with the live response in Michigan. They will be returning to Michigan down the line. Everyone was happy with the live turnouts in Chicago as well and there was a good feeling in the locker room after the weekend. The shows are available for VOD replays, which you can order by clicking the graphic below:

There were no major injuries over the weekend beyond a nasty cut Gargano suffered during his I Quit match against Chuck Taylor in Chicago. He was tossed onto a guard rail but went through it and was cut on the inside of his thigh.

Rich Swann and Ricochet are done with Japanese tours until the end of the year as they have been pretty much living there full-time outside of DGUSA shows and the promotion wanted to give them a break. The upside is that it opens up the doors for additional talents to go and train in the dojos and work full-time in Japan, one of the selling points for signing here.

CIMA noted on Twitter that he wants to bring AR Fox to Japan. The promotion is high on Fox for his improvement and willingness to learn.

Dragon Gate USA will return to the States with live shows in November.
