WWE'S AW EMBARRASSES THE COMPANY ON RAW

A.W. caused quite a stir when he stated on Raw last night that his guy was "like Kobe Bryant at a hotel room in Colorado ... he's unstoppable."  That remark, in essence, alluded to Bryant's alleged sexual assault case from 2003 and the story was picked up quickly by many media outlets.

WWE quickly issued a statement to TMZ stating, "A.W. made an inappropriate comment and WWE immediately apologized."  The spokesman also told TMZ that they have "taken appropriate action in the matter" but didn't say what it was.

TMZ reported that A.W. "felt horrible" after he made the comment and said he simply "got caught up in the moment".  He later apologized on Twitter and added that, "I went too far with that joke."

Joke?  Really?
