You guys stated that Brock Lesnar's contract with WWE required him to be on TV for a certain amount of dates throughout his year. So with Lesnar being off of TV for such an extended period of time, does this mean that in the future WWE can "make" Lesnar appear on RAW week after week consecutively until Wrestlemania, if they have enough contracted appearances for Brock?

WWE will keep a close eye on the dates that they have used Brock and definitely outline the plans going forward and convey them to him so that everyone is on the same page.  In fact, I would venture to guess that they have already done it.

Seeing as how the identities of the WWE Board of Directors has never been revealed, who would you think makes up this faceless group?

Actually, their identities are public knowledge.  You probably don't know any of them but you can learn more about them by clicking here.

Why is it that WWE creative would rather give Christian a great performer and professional a 2 day (5 in WWE land) title reign and have him pass it off to Orton who has a sketchy past with Wellness violations and in ring work? I know we can't ask why? in WWE land but when they pass over the quality guys and give the crowd a middle finger it kills off any type of legitimacy the company has.

Vince McMahon has never seen Christian as a legitmate top guy.  It's sad, but it's also true.

The Bound For Glory Series has essentially the same main performers as it did last year. TNA has a habit of using the same guys in title programs over and over, often without any long term story. James Storm and Austin Aries being the only exceptions. What if TNA used the BFGS to elevate someone new to the main event title picture? Let's say BFGS participants are only eligible if they have not received a title shot in the past year. This would force TNA to be more judicious with their title storylines throughout the year so as not to completely decimate the BFGS. Plus it would give them a year to build up new talent who the, may want to push in the tournament.

So wait a second, you just said that they have elevated both Storm and Aries this year.  That is pretty good on its own.  Personally, I have no problem with them using the group that they are.  TNA has done a good job in making talents believable.  There are only a few guys in the tournament that wouldn't seem like legitimate number one contenders so to me that means they are doing a solid job.

I was listening to you and Mike on the WDNNSN show on 7/12 when you were talking about the new ECW documentary and you mentioned the situation with Erich Kulas and Request PPV and how it almost cost ECW its shot at airing the PPV.  You said that Wade Keller's role in all of this will be discussed and you mentioned Keller saying back then that people should wait until his side of the story came out in his sheet, but it never did.  Well, it kind of did, in 2006 after Keller responded to statements Paul Heyman made in the WWE book "The Rise and Fall of ECW".  In the piece, Keller tried to discredit you and your reporting by asserting that you were biased because, as he said, you worked on the ECW website.  I remember as a Lariat subscriber back then that you weren't involved in the ECW website back then.  So, who is right, Keller or me?  Thanks for for the great work you do and for the record I was only a subscriber to his sheet for a short time.  I prefer your site's work since you talk to your readers like equals.  I appreciate that.

The easy answer for this one is to simply look at the timeline (which either Keller didn't or chose not to do).  The situation in question happened in December of 1996 (why it took almost a decade for Keller to present his side is anyone's guess but I certainly think it was telling to wait so long).  ECW's first PPV, Barely Legal, took place in April of 1997.  ECWWrestling.com was created in December of 1997.  So it doesn't take a math genius to figure out that no one, including myself, could be working for an entity that didn't exist yet.  I have done a lot over my career but working for something that was a year away from creation is not one of them.  And in December of 1997, ECW didn't even own the website! To give more background, Bob Ryder was the one that created and owned the ECW website when it opened, again ALMOST A FULL YEAR AFTER THE REQUEST situation happened.  With all that the company had going on, producing a website was not even on their list of things to do.  Ryder took it upon himself to create an online presence for ECW because, like many people involved with ECW, he wanted to give of himself to help a company that he believed in.  For the first few years, there was no real money generated by the site.  Bob created it and myself and my group provided it with content, largely for nothing, because we believed in the hard work that all involved in ECW put in to the company and we wanted to do what we could to support them as we believed in what they were doing.  As anyone who has read the Lariats posted on this site from the time period, I was often very critical of ECW.  However, I was also very fair.  Not everyone who covered them was. Some even let their personal feelings and interactions with Paul Heyman affect how they viewed and covered the product.  They know who they are.  Ryder later took on Joey Styles as a partner in his web businesses (which included the ECW site) and those two were the owners of the site right up until the time that ECW went on TNN in August of 1999. At that point in time, Ryder sold his interest in the site to Heyman.  By the time ECW got on TNN, the ECW site was generating decent revenue (largely due to the ads on the pictures from photos taken at events) so the staff was finally getting paid. By then, I had long since turned over covering ECW in the Lariat and on 1Wrestling.com to Buck Woodward because I didn't want anyone to be able to claim conflict of interest (which I guess is why it took creating events that never happened to create such a conflict).  Once Ryder sold his half of the site, again almost three years after the Request situation, Styles was in control of the finances and paid the staff.  So there you go, that is the entire truth, which can be back up by fact.  It's definitely ironic that I got into this business in the first place because I saw "news sources" incorrectly things I saw with my own eyes live.  I just never realized that my life would be one of those things. I don't mind if people take shots at me, as long as it's for things that I actually did, not things that they made up to make their story sound better. Long story short, you are correct and Keller is not.
