So what’s your take on Triple H’s recent signings? We hear a variety of reports, ranging from “they’re going after the body builders†to “there’s not enough talent on the indy scene†to “they’re in on PAC and Gargano and Del Rey.†Do you think from a development stand point he’s still finding his program’s “identity†or perhaps looking at a mix of long-term developmental along with more-ready-to-make-an-impact talents? Either way, I think he’s picking well.
Well, remember that no one has been signed until they pass their medical evaluations. However, I think we're seeing that the company is trying to get as many new talents under their umbrella as they can. If they want WWE to survive the next 20 years, they are going to need that, so I am really happy to see the more recent signings. Lots of really talented people being stacked in developmental.
Do you see former Knockout star Angelina Love returning to TNA later this year or in 2013?
She asked for her release, so I don't see her wanting to go back anytime soon. You don't quit a job looking to return.
Currently Brooke Tessmacher is TNA's Knockout champion. With beauty, personality and promising wrestling skills do you see her becoming another Trish Stratus? I know that there will never be another Trish Stratus but could she become someone fans might eventually compare her to Trish?
I think you are putting way too much pressure on Brooke but right now, she's a damn great candidate for following in Stratus' footsteps as a gorgeous model who's worked really hard to be taken seriously as a performer and is always improving.
I read where Angelina Love requested and was granted release from TNA. If true why didn't TNA try their level best to change her mind? To persuade her to stay? After all for a long time she along with Velvet Sky, Lacey Von Erich and Madison Rayne have been a very well known and popular group of women called The Beautiful People. TNA could have offered a raise in salary. A too long in coming push. Why didn't they? Why let this very talented and lovely woman go just like that? Don't tell me they (TNA) didn't have a thing for her?
It's hard to answer this question unless we know why she quit. Maybe she had a family issue and wanting to leave the business to take care of it. Maybe she decided to get married. Maybe she wants to rest injuries. Maybe she decided she's had enough of wrestling. We don't know for sure, so until we do, you can't assume that if TNA threw some extra money at her, she would have stayed. Lacey Von Erich left because she wanted to do something else and admitted she wasn't a very good wrestler, so why throw money at someone who doesn't want to be there?
