FLORIDA CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TELEVISION REPORT 6/24: ROLLINS/AMBROSE V

We are live on tape from Tampa, Florida and your announcers are Byron ‘Better Late Than Never’ Saxton, William ‘If this didn’t air, we riot’ Regal, and Antonio ‘I should be in the main event’ Cesaro.

Byron mentions that tonight will see Dean Ambrose face Seth Rollins one more time and this time it is for the FCW Florida Heavyweight Title. Cesaro starts to talk in one of the many languages he speaks that is not English and he says that he is so excited that he forgot to speak English. William Regal stares off to the side and says nothing.

Match Number One: Alexander Rusev and Colin Cassady versus Kenneth Cameron and Conor O’Brian

Conor and Colin start things off in the ring, but Conor goes to the apron and Cameron comes off the turnbuckles and locks up with Colin. Colin pushes Cameron back and they lock up again. Colin pushes him away and he wants a piece of Conor. Conor tags in and he winds up before locking up. Colin with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.

Conor goes to the floor and he pulls Colin’s arm into the ring post. Conor with a wrist lock and arm wringer as he works on the shoulder. Cameron growls at Rusev from the apron. Colin sends Conor to the ropes and Rusev pulls the ropes open and Conor goes to the floor.

Colin with a fallaway slam and then he kicks him and chokes him in the corner. Rusev tags in and he kicks Conor. Rusev punches Conor but Conor with a kick. Rusev with a forearm and punches but Conor punches Rusev back. Rusev with a leaping spinning heel kick that sends Conor to the mat.

Conor with a DDT and both men are down. Rusev misses a charge into the corner but Rusev prevents the tag. Conor with a punch and Cameron is tagged in. Cameron with punches and a European uppercut. Cameron leaps onto Rusev’s shoulders and gets a near fall with a Victory Roll for a near fall. Cameron with a drop kick to the midsection and then to the head for a near fall.

Cameron screams and tags in Conor with a chop. Rusev with an Irish whip but Colin misses a clothesline. Rusev and Cassady collide and then Conor with a boot to Cassady followed by a spinning chinbreaker by Cameron to Rusev. Conor with a flap jack for the three count.

Winners: Kenneth Cameron and Conor O’Brian

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Garrett Dylan with James Bronson versus Kassius Ohno

They lock up and Dylan works on the wrist but Ohno reverses. Dylan takes Ohno down to the mat and works on the wrist but Ohno kips up and takes Dylan to the mat. Ohno with an arm wringer and then he gets a rollup for a near fall. Dylan punches Ohno but Ohno continues to work on the arm and he takes Dylan down with an arm drag.

Ohno with another rollup for a near fall. Dylan with a shoulder tackle but Ohno with a Flying Burrito for a near fall. Ohno chops Dylan against the ropes. Ohno with a forearm to the head and back. Ohno with a forearm to the head but Dylan puts Ohno into the ropes and punches him. Bronson trips Ohno when the referee was not looking and that allows Dylan to take advantage of the situation.

Dylan with forearms to the back but Ohno with a side head lock. Dylan with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Dylan sets for a butterfly suplex and hits it and gets a near fall. Dylan with a boot to the head and tries for an abdominal stretch but Ohno stays out of the hold. Dylan with a seated version of the abdominal stretch. Dylan with a knee to the chest but Ohno with a rollup for a near fall.

Dylan with a lariat to Ohno and gets a near fall. Dylan punches Ohno in the head and hits a sit out double sledge for a near fall. Dylan with a knee to the head followed by a punch. Dylan tries for a power bomb but Ohno counters and gets a near fall.

Ohno with another rollup for a near fall. Ohno with a clothesline and then he chops Dylan and hits a back fist to the head. Dylan with a waist lock but Ohno holds on to the ropes when Dylan tries for an O’Connor Roll. Ohno sets for the Roaring Elbow but Dylan goes to the floor when he sees it coming.

Ohno goes to the floor after Dylan and connects with a boot to the chest. They return to the ring and Ohno with a flying forearm into the corner followed by a roaring elbow to the temple for the three count.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Three: Benicio Salazar versus Erick Rowan

They lock up and Rowan backs Salazar into the corner and connects with a forearm and biel across the ring. Rowan with a clothesline into the corner an he hits a choke slam for the three count.

Winner: Erick Rowan

We go to commercial.

Match Number Four: Dean Ambrose versus Seth Rollins for the FCW Florida Heavyweight Title

They circle each other before they eventually lock up and Ambrose with a waist lock and then he backs Rollins into the corner. They have a Greco Roman knuckle lock but Rollins with a hammer lock. Ambrose with a reversal and side head lock. Ambrose works on the wrist but Rollins reverses.

Rollins with a front face lock but Ambrose with a single leg trip into a front face lock of his own. Ambrose takes Rollins to the mat and he works on the wrist. Ambrose with a hammer lock take down but Rollins gets to the ropes. Ambrose says something to the referee and then they lock up again but we go to commercial.

We are back and Ambrose stands on Rollins’ ankle while working on the wrist. Ambrose gets a near fall but Rollins bridges to avoid the count. Rollins kips up and he backs Ambrose into the corner and hits a monkey flip. Ambrose with a side head lock take down.

Rollins with a head scissors but Ambrose escapes. Ambrose returns to the side head lock but Rollins with a front face lock. Ambrose rolls through and gets a near fall. Ambrose with an arm bar and he rubs his elbow into Rollins’ shoulder. Ambrose with a side head lock but Rollins escapes. Rollins with a waist lock but Ambrose with an elbow and shoulder tackle.

Rollins wants to hit a drop kick but Ambrose holds on to the ropes. Rollins with a flip when he sees Ambrose hold on to the ropes. Rollins with a drop kick to Ambrose. Rollins gets a near fall. Rollins with a chop and Ambrose chops back. They exchange chops until Ambrose punches Rollins. Ambrose runs his elbow against Rollins’ face. Ambrose chops Rollins in the corner but Rollins with a series of chops.

Rollins with a snap mare and kick to the back for a near fall. Rollins with an arm bar and he adds a fish hook. Ambrose with a forearm and then he sends Rollins into the mat. Ambrose with a boot to the midsection and then he grinds the boot into the abdomen.

Ambrose sets for the Regal Stretch but Rollins gets to the ropes before he can lock it in. Ambrose with a reverse chin lock and he traps the arm. Ambrose with a knee to the midsection and then he tries for the Midnight Special but Rollins escapes. Rollins with a boot to the head followed by a flying kick and forearm.

Rollins with a forearm into the corner followed by a back heel kick. Rollins is sent to the apron but Seth with an enzuigiri. Rollins goes to the turnbuckles for a tornado DDT but Ambrose blocks it an he puts Rollins on the top turnbuckles. Ambrose goes up for a superplex and he hits it but Ambrose lands awkwardly on his shoulder and he is writhing in pain. Regal reminds us that he injured Dean’s shoulder when they wrestled last year and it is the same shoulder that Ambrose has injured after the superplex.

Both men are down and then Ambrose rolls to the floor. We go to commercial.

We are back Ambrose is still on the floor and the medical staff is checking on Ambrose but he refuses to quit. Ambrose runs his shoulder into the apron to get the shoulder back into the socket. Rollins with a suicide dive onto Ambrose. They return to the ring and Rollins hits the springboard clothesline for a near fall.

Ambrose blocks Avada Kedavra and gets a near fall with a rollup. Rollins misses a round kick but he does not miss an enzuigiri. Rollins with the running forearm into the corner but Ambrose sees him coming at him and he low bridges Rollins. Ambrose puts Rollins’ leg in the ropes and Dean with forearms and a drop kick to the thigh. Ambrose with another drop kick to the thigh followed by a Dragon Screw leg whip and then he puts Rollins in the figure four leg lock.

Ambrose bridges to add more pressure to the leg. Ambrose tells Rollins if he breaks his arm, he will break Seth’s leg. Rollins gets to the ropes and Ambrose eventually releases the hold. Ambrose with a knee to the hamstring. Rollins kicks Ambrose in the shoulder to get out of the hold. Rollins with an inside cradle for a near fall but Ambrose with a reversal.

Rollins with a back heel kick to the shoulder but Ambrose with a knee. Ambrose sets for the Knee Trembler but Rollins moves. Ambrose avoids the enzuigiri and then he hits the Knee Trembler but Rollins kicks out.

Ambrose shows some frustration for not being able to put Rollins away. Ambrose tries to get the shoulder back into the socket while Rollins tries to recover. Ambrose with a clothesline in the corner and Rollins is sent onto the turnbuckles. Ambrose puts Rollins on the top turnbuckle again. Ambrose sets for a superplex but Rollins punches Ambrose in the shoulder to avoid the hold.

Rollins with a sunset flip and then he tries for a buckle bomb but when he gets three-quarters of the way across the ring, his knee gives out from what Ambrose did earlier in the match with the figure four.

Ambrose with a step over toe hold but Rollins sends Ambrose shoulder first into the ring post and Rollins with Avada Kedavra. Rollins has endured too much in the match to even make a cover. Rollins with an assisted curb stomp but Ambrose kicks out at two. Rollins tires to figure out what to do and he puts Ambrose in the Regal Stretch.

Ambrose fights through the pain and gets free. Ambrose bites Rollins’ hand. Ambrose kicks Rollins in the head. Ambrose with a back elbow to the head as Rollins tries to work on the injured shoulder. Rollins with Kawada kicks and then a kick to the chest. Rollins with an arm wringer that drives the injured shoulder into the mat and then Rollins hits the curb stomp for the three count.

Winner: Seth Rollins
