VADER TIME AGAIN?, WHAT WILL KEEP IMPACT LIVE, FINISHERS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-06-15 10:00:00
Universal Studios has updated the Impact Wrestling taping schedule to reflect the show going live for twelve weeks this summer. There are no dates scheduled after August 23, 2012 as the company will reevaluate whether or not to go back to taping earlier in the week or if they will come to an agreement with Spike TV to go live on a more permanent basis have you heard anything more on this?

No update yet in this regard. Thus far, the series will only be live for the summer. If the ratings show growth while live, you can make an argument that it's worth TNA and Spike TV's financial investment to broadcast live weekly. If the company is getting the same numbers, from a financial standpoint, they should just tape, although the quality of the show has been greatly improved with the three live episodes. If you really want to see the show kept live, let Spike TV know.

Any word on whether it was a one time appearance for Vader last night??

I am told he's among the talents booked for the 1000th Raw on 7/23. I doubt we'll see him working regularly, but it would be nice to see him squash Santino Marella and win the U.S. title.

I genuinely enjoyed seeing Vader back in the ring, and the crowd seemed to be really popping for him with chants for the "Vader Bomb" and "you still got it". It seems to me that if he dropped some weight that WWE could get one more good run out of him. So, is it Vader Time again?

To be determined. There's a lot of mileage on Vader and I really don't see him as a regular.

How come every finisher needs to be "out of nowhere"?

If they saw it coming, it'd be easy to avoid and wouldn't be a finisher!

Anyone else notice that WWE is blaming Del Rio's concussion on Khali and not Sheamus? Feels like a big de-push from the main event.

I believe they just did that to build up Khali for his loss later that night, so it meant more when Ziggler ended up with the title shot. If Del Rio can shake his injury issues, he'll get a strong push but right now there's concerns as he hadn't gotten back to 100% from his groin injury and now he's hurt again.
