DREAMER EXPOSES SHADY PROMOTER, SATURN RETURNS TO NYC, SNUKA, BOOKER AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-06-09 09:15:37

In his latest column in the Whig-Standard Journal, Tommy Dreamer writes about dealing with a shady promoter who he was booked for on 5/26 despite his reservations. Dreamer, noting he took the booking because a friend had worked for the promoter with no issue, recounts a story about dealing with a promoter who couldn't afford a cell phone, booked him out for another appearance without Dreamer's knowledge, had a ton of excuses and finally canceled the date. Meanwhile, Dreamer passed up two other bookings and actually helped others get those bookings instead. These are the type of horror stories we hear all the time that makes the business such a frustrating place for a lot of people and the only way to really prevent them is for wrestlers to stand up and refuse bookings from con artists, even if the money offer is good.
