TNA's HALL OF FAME, WWE TRYING TO STOP OTHERS FROM RUNNING WRESTLEMANIA WEEKEND AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-06-01 10:00:00
Hey guys thanx for all the work especially the last few weeks with lawsuits and suspensions you make it look easy. Here's my question...why does TNA feel that being in business 10 years means they can pat themselves on the back in that way. I know the WWE HOF is Vinces way of thanking guys he likes and people that have meant alot to the business and sure the celeb wing is a joke but sometimes its fun. But the WWE has most 60 years of history behind them and they are the face of pro wrestling when people think wrestling they think WWE. Im sure im overreacting to something meaningless but it's so frustrating with TNA's history now this!

Thanks for the kind words. I don't have any issue with the company doing a Hall of Fame. Ten years is a nice milestone. UFC launched their Hall of Fame in 2003, only 10 years after they launched, and they didn't promote anywhere near the amount of events TNA has in their first decade. It's not as if they announced anything other than they were going to honor someone. I have no issues with that, especially if it's someone like Jeff Jarrett who literally almost put his family into financial ruin to launch the company. I am sure that whoever it is, TNA will handle it with class - at least, I hope so.

In the video hyping Brooke Hogan coming to TNA, TNA is using "Real American?" Doesn't WWE own the rights to Real American?

Epic/Sony released the original CD and likely own the rights to the song. Spike could have licensed the rights from them.

When was the last time you saw a Wrestlemaniac ppv where you said the whole show is good. Order the replay.

Wrestlemania 17 and 19 come to mind.

How is it that Mark Henry and Sheamus are on the same side holding back Lesnar when one is a face and the other is a heel? Am I asking for logic where there is none by asking that question.

In the chaos of the moment, they weren't worried about who was on who's side. Wow, that was pretty easy to explain!

Is the WWE so caught up in their own bubble that they are unaware that other companies run the same town as they do for Wrestlemania weekend? And if they are aware, is there an element in WWE that feels that they should send shooters to the other companies locker rooms to beat up the "outlaws"?

While WWE doesn't like that other companies run Wrestlemania weekend, they are a publicly traded company and there's no way they are sending "shooters" to the other companies. This isn't the 1950s where backhanded stuff can be handled in that manner. WWE trying to lock companies out of city and State owned facilities in markets they are running Wrestlemania? WWE pulling talents and booking them for AXXESS instead? Well, instances of that happening have popped up.
