Do you ever think some talents could benefit from some time "off-the-radar", whether to get their characters, their bodies or themselves sorted out. While they usually don't have any input into their characters or storylines, maybe some off time could be spent getting a better perspective on their personas and capabilities and, heaven-forbid, offer some input to creative. Maybe certain talents could get some time to keep themselves out of trouble.

Absolutely.  I have said for years that talents should be given mandatory time off every year.  It just makes sense to give people work such a demanding job down time.

I have always been a WWF/WWE fan and never followed WCW and wasn't privy to sites like this back in day.. I was shocked in march 01 to see WCW on WWF television. I am just wondering how long before the purchase you were aware it was all going down?? I mean Bischoff was trying to get deals etc and failed was it a spur of the moment decision to buy the competition or was it in the works a while before it happened?

The die was cast when AOL began the merger with WCW owner Time Warner.  Though it is hard to believe today, AOL was a titan of industry back then as it dominated the now-antiquated dial-up internet market.  AOL was all about profitable business and at that time, WCW had become a money pit.  Many people like to blame Vince Russo's booking for killing WCW but the contracts that Eric Bischoff gave out to talent and the money that was spent on his watch were far more damaging to the promotion's survival as they were completely out of line in most cases.  People looked at the company like it was an ATM.  WCW was overspending by a ridiculous degree and AOL wanted no part of it so for months before it was finally sold everyone knew it was on the chopping block.

What is your take on whole Scott Steiner/Twitter rants? Many fans, myself included, are legitimately entertained and impressed by what he is saying. Most because while he is singling out certain people he isn't burying the product. Quite the opposite he seems to be elevating the product and saying what many longtime fans have said for a long time. Your thoughts?

I love what he is saying, as do many (or probably most) of the guys that wrestle for TNA because it's all so true.  Eric Bischoff (through his son mostly now) and Hulk Hogan are pushing themselves at the expense of the wrestlers and it's the wrong way to go.  Dixie Carter is oblivious to it, even though it is so obvious. Since Hogan replaced Sting as the point man for the show the ratings have dropped.  I love that Steiner is saying it.  He is the best person posting on Twitter right now if you ask me.  I can't wait for him to talk about Eric Bischoff and The Gold Club stuff.  Bischoff has talked down to people online for years now.  He has met his match and it's great to see him get his comeuppance.

With everyone always complaining about the things the major wrestling companies do (Cena winning all the time, not pushing Bryan to the moon, Hulk Hogan etc. etc.), do you think that if WWE and TNA read the sites and did exactly what the vocal internet community wanted them to do for say, an entire year (not sure if it’s long enough), anything would change for them financially? Do you really think viewers would come back, ratings would go up, and the wrestling boom would happen again? Or, if nothing changes and the wrestling landscape really is stagnant, would it make people like Eric Bischoff right and then where do we go from there?

I think you have to be careful who you listen to.  Some people that voice opinions are very knowledgeable while others aren't.  It would really depend on who they listened to.  But I think there are a number of fundamental things that both company does wrong in developing characters that if they fixed would benefit both of them significantly.

Why didn't Vince let Beth Phoenix beat Maryse's title reign?

Because the Divas title isn't on his radar is my best guess.
