MORE ON HULK HOGAN INTERJECTING HIMSELF IN THE NHL PLAYOFFS

By David Jakielo on 2012-04-16 12:00:25
I saw your post on the site about the Hogan/Flyers video yesterday and (as a Pens season ticket holder) wanted to point out the back story.

1. It all started with Pittsburgh Penguins fan and cancer survivor Cy Clark. Cy became popular at Penguins home games as a Hulk Hogan look-a-like.  Here is a link to a video of him here visiting the team.

2. Cy started bringing Evgeni Malkin "Malkamania" signs to games, which really caught on. In a really cool move, this Hogan video would play at home games after Malkin scored.

3. This caught some attention a couple weeks back when the Hogan look-a-like Cy got into it with Flyer Scott Hartnell, which you can see by clicking here.

4. Whatcha Gonna Do shirts were then handed out at the Flyers game yesterday and this Hogan video aired.

So, people in Pittsburgh went from thinking Hogan did a good deed for the Pens by shooting that video to realizing that he'll be the biggest fan of your team...if the price and/or opportunity for exposure is right, of course.
