SHOULD TNA HAVE LET FLAIR GO TO THE WWE HALL OF FAME, WHAT BOB BACKLUND IS UP TO, GREATEST CHARACTER IN THE HISTORY OF WRESTLING AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-04-06 10:00:00
Watched Wrestlemania 28 and now watching the replay, HHH/Taker specifically, and a question arose. Has any professional wrestler crafted and cultivated a better character in the business than The Undertaker? I could go into my own long winded thoughts and opinions but this is your Q&A and I anticipate your thoughts.....

I don't think you'll get any argument from me on that one.

Whatever happened to former WWWF champion Bob Backlund? I read once he was interested in wrestling one more match. Is that true? If so, is it still the case? Wasn't Backlund with TNA at one time? Bob Backlund vs Kurt Angle. What do you think?

Backlund still wrestles from time to time and owns his own oil company in Connecticut.

How did the fans conduct themselves during the Hall of Fame ceremonies?

With the exception of a fan idiots who deserved to be drawn and quartered, the crowd was respectful and fine.

So, by the time you read this, the WWE will have already taped their Hall of Fame. Obviously, Dixie Carter gave the green light for Ric Flair to attend with her blessing. However, one of the provisions TNA wanted was for WWE to mention TNA on the air, which didn't happen. My questions are: If you were in charge of TNA, would you have allowed Ric Flair to attend the competitions' Hall of Fame? I understand how Dixie would be proud of Flair, but why in the world would she allow him to go to a place where they act like TNA doesn't even exist? For Flair to attend without mentioning TNA, does he even care about TNA? If the shoe was on the other foot, would Vince have allowed it? So, Flair attends the competition & makes no mention of TNA; therefore, what did TNA gain in return?

If I was in charge of TNA, I wouldn't have let Flair attend. It does nothing for their company and sets a bad standard. I know people will hate me for saying this, but if it was TNA looking to put The Rockers in their Hall of Fame, WWE would not have let Shawn Michaels attend. I have not heard that TNA wanted to be mentioned during the presentation. That sounds like a goofy Internet rumor to me. I think Flair cares about whatever is going to make him the most money. Vince would never, ever have allowed it.

Are items such as posters, t-shirts, DVDs, action figures and photos of the wrestlers normally sold before, during and after TNA tapings in Universal Studios?

There is one concession stand in the building, to the left of the doors where you enter.
