The Los Angeles Times interviewed boxing great Mike Tyson about his upcoming one man show (I cannot wait to see that) in Las Vegas. When his WWE Hall of Fame induction came up, Tyson commented, "They think I belong in there and want me to fly out and get inducted into their hall. I'm not going to argue with them. I'm ecstatic. I watched wrestling before I ever watched boxing on TV. Bruno Sammartino was my favorite, but I liked all those guys: Junkyard Dog, Nikolai Volkoff, the Iron Sheik, Superstar Billy Graham." Tyson was perhaps the most excited person at WrestleReunion in Los Angeles this past January and is true diehard fan of the business. I know people get down on celebs being inducted into the WWE Hall, but there is a world of difference between Tyson, who helped make Steve Austin a superstar, and someone like a Drew Carey.
Sheamus noted that he and Daniel Bryan intend to steal the show at Wrestlemania during an interview with HollywoodLife.com. I hope they do because if they have the time, they can have a hell of a match and I think there's some really nice gratification in the guys who were pulled off the show last year being the World title bout this year.
For those who asked why Summerslam was placed on sale so soon, it was to take advantage of the media blitz and attention that comes with Wrestlemania week.
"Bending the Rules" starring Edge will be released tomorrow on DVD and Blu-Ray.
