RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: MARCH MAYHEM CONTINUES; FINAL SHOW BEFORE SHOWDOWN IN THE SUN; IS THE HOUSE OF TRUTH FACING FORECLOSURE?

By Richard Trionfo on 2012-03-25 00:05:50
The show starts off with a look back at last week’s match between Roderick Strong and Jay Lethal for the March Mayhem Series and Lethal’s victory to advance.

We are live on tape from Baltimore, Maryland and your announcers are Nigel McGuinness and Kevin Kelly.

Jim Cornette is in the ring and he mentions the main event for the show on Friday night in Fort Lauderdale. Jim brings out the participants in the main event.

Out first is Roderick Strong with Truth Martini and Michael Elgin. Out next is the other challenger, Eddie Edwards. The final man to come to the ring is the current Ring of Honor World Champion, Davey Richards.

Jim wants everyone to conduct themselves with professional decorum.

Jim asks Davey if this is one of the toughest matches of his career because he is facing two World Champions. Davey says that Jim is wrong because this is the toughest match of his life. He does not have to hype this match because of the accolades of these two guys. Davey says that he doesn’t trust them, but three of the best wrestlers in the world will be in the ring.

Jim says that Eddie will conduct himself like a sportsman, but Davey takes the mic and he says that he does not trust Roderick at all and he will kick his ass. Davey says until a few months ago, he would trust Eddie, but he isn’t sure today. He doesn’t trust either one of them.

Eddie tells Davey that isn’t right. Whenever they have faced each other he has faced Davey like a man. He says that he does not appreciate being compared to a prick like Roderick.

Roderick tells Eddie that because him and his boyfriend had a bad break up, don’t get mad at him. Roderick says that they don’t have to trust him, but on March 30th, he will make history and take back his World Title from that MMA wannabe. Roderick tells Eddie to listen to him very clear. There is a small chance that he might not make it out of Friday’s show as champion. He will have a second chance because Michael Elgin will give Roderick his match on Saturday.

Michael is about to respond to Roderick’s proclamation that he will get his title match but he is interrupted by Jay Lethal’s music.

Jay comes to the ring and he tells Jim that he has nothing but respect for him, which is more than he can say for that buttmunch. Jim wants everyone to watch their language. Jay wants to know why isn’t Jay Lethal getting the respect he deserves. He reminds Jim that he had a World Title match and the whole world showed up at ringside to screw things up. Last week, he beat this farthead (pointing at Strong), but Strong gets a title shot and he doesn’t?

Jim reminds Jay that the Triple Threat match was made before the match last week. He also reminds Jay that he is in contention for the World Title.

Jay says that he is here to make a statement. He says that he is tired of waiting and acting like a good guy for what he deserves. From now on Jay Lethal is taking what he deserves.

Jim says that if Strong wins on Friday, Lethal gets a title shot on Saturday.

Lethal and Strong start to finger poke each other and The American Wolves music starts to play, but it is Kevin Steen’s music instead and he makes through the curtains. We now have all six people who are involved in the Blind Destiny matches next Saturday.

Steen says that he likes listening to his music, but he wants to get to the point. He looks in the ring and he doesn’t know what to say. He asks if everyone is enjoying the parade of hand shakers and ass kissers.

Kevin comments on Davey’s hat. He apologizes for interrupting. He tells Eddie that he truly, whole heartedly is rooting for Eddie in his match against Roderick and Davey. It isn’t because he likes Eddie. It is because he is being honest. Kevin tells Jim if Eddie isn’t successful and the match in Florida is not a title match, he will find a way to get a title match. Whoever is the champ, he will find a way to get a title shot. Kevin says that he will become Ring of Honor World Champion.

Kevin tells Jim that it is clever that he calls him ‘Wrestling’s Greatest Nightmare’, but when he is Ring of Honor World Champion, he will be Jim’s personal never ending nightmare.

Kevin says that he is finished and he tells everyone to continue with their circle of jerks.

We go to commercial.

The subject for this week is the Showdown in the Sun shows next Friday and Saturday.

We take a look back at last week’s show when Kevin Steen was informed of his opponent for Friday night in Fort Lauderdale.

It is now time for comments from Lance Storm about his match with Mike Bennett. Lance says that Mike Bennett has missed the point. He didn’t write the letter to piss him off. It was to open Mike’s eyes. Bennett thinks that wrestling is a means to an end. Ring of Honor is a stepping stone to the Hollywood lifestyle. If he wants a Playboy model as a girlfriend. If you want to wear fancy shirts and sunglasses to feel important, don’t disrespect the wrestling business in the process. Ring of Honor isn’t anybody’s stepping stone. Thousands would love the spot he is in. Friday night, Mike Bennett gets the privilege of stepping into the ring with Lance Storm. Lance has the honor and privilege of leaving it all in the ring one more time. If Bennett does not respect him, after the match he will.

Mike Bennett tells Lance Storm that he needs to lighten up. Mike says that Lance looks like he hasn’t taken a crap in a week. He sees Mike as the biggest star in Ring of Honor and he is jealous. Mike tells Lance on March 30th, he is going to get Lance laid . . . he is going to lay Lance out.
