WHAT MICHAELS TAKING BUMPS AT WRESTLEMANIA MEANS FOR HIS RETIREMENT, TOD GORDON'S BOOK, KILLER KHAN AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-03-22 10:00:00
What was Shane Douglas trying to achieve on Raw?  Why didn't he just cut a promo?

Douglas and Extreme Reunion were trying to get publicity for their 4/28 event.  I don't think they really succeeded as well as they had hoped, but I give them credit for trying.  How could Douglas have cut a promo?  It's not like WWE was going to hand him a mic!

Where is Killer Khan?

He is retired and living in Tokyo, where he owns the concession stand rights inside a pretty major office building.

Why did you report FCW is closing?

We didn't.  Read the site.  Seriously, ACTUALLY READ THE SITE.

There's been talk about Paul Heyman's book being pushed back, but whatever happened to Tod Gordon's book?

As it was explained to me, Gordon was unhappy with delays in the book being released, feeling that by the time the book was released, there would be a reduced interest due to the way WWE had systematically destroyed the aura of ECW with the 2006 relaunch.  He ended up having the book killed off.

If Shawn Michaels takes a ref bump during the Hell In A Cell match at Wrestlemania, can we really consider him retired?  Sure, he didn't wrestle an official match but if he gets backdropped, clotheslined, thrown out of the ring, etc., what's the difference - it's still the same physicality!

You bring up an excellent point.  In my mind, if he's throwing a superkick here or there, he's retired.  The second he starts bumping on camera, he's back out of retirement, although the referee/wrestler thing is certainly splitting hairs.
