CHAIR SHOTS TO THE HEAD, WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE BRAND EXTENSION, BIG SHOW'S POWER, WHY EVE TURNED HEEL AND MORE

We know that Miz got heat for the R-Truth injury incident, but I was wondering if Big Show got any heat for injuring Wade Barrett and nearly breaking Dolph Ziggler in half during the Battle Royal on RAW.

I didn't hear of any.  The situations were a bit different as Miz did nothing to protect Truth while Big Show, who is a pretty strong guy, lost control of his monstrous strength.  His gaffe was far more understandable and forgivable, and it was nowhere near as careless as what Miz did.

Do you think the reason they did turned Eve Torres heel is because Kharma, unfortunately, lost her child, and they may have scrubbed her vs. Beth Phoenix? My thoughts and prayers are with Kharma.

I think that is the most likely explanation as to why they did the sudden (and goofy) heel turn of Eve.  The company had definitely been building toward a Kharma-Phoenix match before she suffered her loss.  I echo your sentiments towards what she is going through.

Is my memory going? I thought there was a rule that a champion must defend his title at least once in 30 days. But for as long as Cody Rhodes has held the IC belt, I cannot ever remember him defending it. It's easy to keep a belt when you never defend it. So, am I wrong?

What did you have for dinner last night?  If you can remember that, your memory is probably OK.  As for the 30 day rule, that is something that is only enforced when WWE feels like doing it.  The rules of wrestling's past seem to all be falling by the past.

I have noticed, reading online event reports, that chair-shots to the head are always frowned upon. Even during the Undertaker-Triple H match from last year's Wrestlemania, there seemed to be an outrage over a shot to the head (which, when seen from another angle, obviously never connecter with Taker's head.) I understand this worry, and the outrage that comes when company's disregard this issue. My question pertains to reports I've read from CZW, one of my favorite promotions. In past years, I have seen DJ Hyde struck in the head with a cinderblock, Nick Gage beat Brain Damage numerous times over the head in the course of a few seconds, and there are usually shots to the head in deathmatch situations. I rarely hear anyone become outraged about this, though, like I've read from ROH reports, WWE, TNA, and DGUSA and EVOLVE events. Is this because reporters have come to accept that CZW incorporates death matches and have just chosen to accept that this is going to happen, or is it because it is not one of the big 3 promotions?

I think in the case of some reporters that they would left CZW slide on chairshots since they are known for them  This reporter is consistent in his believe that chairshots to the head need to be banned from the business.  Given what we know about the damage that blows to the head can cause it's irresponsible to condone their use.

Why keep up with the brand extension? Not like they adhere to it anyway. Unify the rest of the titles and go back to the way it was. Back when the WWE title was the most important match of the night and not playing 3rd fiddle to matches where 3 participants have had 1 or fewer bouts all year.

The only real reason left is so that they have a reason to fill one of the three hour Raws that USA requests with the draft episode.  Other than that, the extension has run its course in my opinion.

This is different from the normal Q&A question, but an important one I think. Am I missing something with Ring of Honor's TV show on Sinclair? I'm having a hard time getting into it and I've been a wrestling fan for more than 30 years. It's obvious the guys try hard, but I've been hearing for years how great ROH is and I'm not seeing it. What am I not getting?

I honestly can't answer that one.  Everyone has different tastes and if you don't like ROH TV then what you are not getting is what they are trying to sell you.  It happens.
