Ted DiBiase Jr. noted on his Twitter account that since he is out of action with his ankle injury that he was going to have surgery on his aching shoulder, which has been hurting for the past year. It makes sense to do that since he is out of action anyway. He also noted that life is good because his baby is on the way. Congrats to Ted.
The Miami Herald has an interesting interview with Sal Corrente where he talks about WrestleReunion 7, which takes place in Miami over WrestleMania weekend, at this link.
Michael Hoffman sent word that Bret Hart will be appearing at the Reading (PA) Phillies game on June 15.
Ravin Singh sent the following notes from last night's WWE house show. ... I was able to attend tonight's (March 9) WWE house show here in Toronto at the Ricoh Coliseum. The Ricoh Coliseum is a smaller venue than the Air Canada Centre and it looked to me like it was close to a sell out. The WWE had their new Live Event set that gave the evenings event a TV Taping feel.
The show opened up with the signature WWE video package that precedes all WWE TV shows followed by the opening of Raw that you would normally see at the beginning of Monday Night Raw.
To add to the TV taping feel in between matches they would show "backstage footage" of John Cena hyping his fight later in the card with Kane as well as Chris Jericho getting some cheap heat by taking shots at the province of Ontario. My hunch is that these footages were shot at Raw and will also be used at the London house show which is tomorrow night (March 10) since the promos were generic and made no mention of Toronto. There were also playing WrestleMania videos throughout the night promoting the big event
Tonight was the first night that Dolph's pink t-shirt went on sale so to mark the occasion Dolph was signing autographs and posing for pictures before the show with anyone who purchased the shirt. It was even mentioned during Dolph's introduction that Dolph is sporting his new t-shirt.
Another tidbit is that last year when the WWE ran a house show at the Ricoh Coliseum, Dolph Ziggler also main evented that card facing Edge for the World Title.
