3/9 WWE RAW IN TORONTO LIVE REPORT: PUNK VS. ZIGGLER, WWE CHAMP APOLOGIZES FOR TRYING TO ENTER CANADA ILLEGALLY

-Santino Marella pinned Jack Swagger after a Cobra to retain the US Title

-Ryback defeated JTG via pinfall

-CHRIS JERICHO VIDEO PROMO: Chris Jericho says he would have never invented Ontario had he invented Canada. Ontario makes him ashamed to be Canadian. He also says he's going to beat Kofi Kingston in their match tonight.

-Eve defeated Kelly Kelly via pinfall

-MIZ PROMO: Miz says he deserves better. Last year he main evented WrestleMania and retained the WWE Title twice. This year he has no match going into WrestleMania. He asks the crowd by show of hands if they think he doesn't deserve a match. Most of the crowd raises their hands and boos at The Miz. He then asks the crowd by show of hands if they think he should shut up. Same response. He then berates the crowd for booing and yelling because he only asked them to show their hands if they disapproved of him. He then says he's going to beat a man he helped to achieve success: R-Truth.

-R-Truth defeated The Miz via pinfall

-CHRIS JERICHO LIVE PROMO: Chris Jericho hates Toronto. He says he's the best in the world at what he does and asks the people with CM Punk shirts to take them off because they say "Best in the World". He says he's going to wipe the mat with Kofi and then go back to the USA.

-Chris Jericho defeated Kofi Kingston via pinfall (Codebreaker)

INTERMISSION

-JOHN CENA VIDEO PROMO: Cena promotes his match at WrestleMania and promotes his match for tonight: a last man standing match against Kane.

-Primo and Epico with Rosa defeated Alex Riley and Mason Ryan to retain the Tag Team Titles (backstabber to Mason Ryan)

-John Cena defeated Kane via being the last man standing. Kane put Cena through a table in the corner of the ring and Cena ended up with the win by incapacitating Kane by giving him the Attitude Adjustment through another table in the middle of the ring.

-CM Punk defeated Dolph Ziggler to retain the WWE Title in a best 2 out of 3 falls match. Punk got the first fall. Ziggler got the second fall after a Zig Zag because Jericho distracted Punk. Punk got the third fall after a GTS. Extra note: Punk used the sharpshooter at some point during the match for us Canadian fans.

-CM PUNK LIVE PROMO: CM Punk says that on the few times he bothered to go to school, his favorite subject was history. So he's going to share a history lesson with us tonight. He says that ten years ago he tried to cross the border into Canada illegally from Detroit. Because of this, for about ten years, each time he came to Canada he got searched extra carefully (check his bags, ask him about his tattoos, etc...). He says he understands it and apologizes for trying to come into our country illegally. Every time he crosses the border they ask him if he had tried to come through illegally before and he would answer with an honest "yes". These border searches continued until recently, when a border worker checked Punk on his computer and asked him if he got harassed every single time at the border. Punk answered in the affirmative and the guy wrote a letter to the higher-ups for Punk not to be harassed any more. So this time around when he came to Canada he wasn't harassed. CM Punk says that he feels like he has a dual citizenship now and feels Canadian. He says that history is important because without it there wouldn't be any wrestling, there wouldn't be any Harts/hearts, and there wouldn't be any CM Punk. He finished by saying he wants to share his Championship with us.
