THE NIGHT SID POWERBOMBED PILLMAN UNCONSCIOUS, WHAT MORRISON IS UP TO, RVD AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-03-03 10:00:04
I remember when WWE came out with the Survivor Series Anthology 1987-1996 i was wondering are they ever going to release the rest of the anthology or have they?

So far, no indication yet.

What is the current status of WWE star John Morrison? Staying or going?

He's gone.  Morrison is working on some outside projects, but still doing some independent appearances and signings.

I have a question regarding the WarGames match at WCW WrestleWar 1991 which featured The Four Horsemen (Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Sid Vicious) and Larry Zbyszko (with Arn Anderson) versus Sting, Brian Pillman, and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott).  Of course, the match ended when Sid Vicious gave Brian Pillman those two wicked powerbombs.  My question is, was that second powerbomb really necessary?  The first powerbomb, which I might add, was one of the sickest moments I've ever seen in wrestling, & almost put Brian Pillman in a wheelchair for the rest of his life (like what happened to Darren Drozdov).  Even if the match called for two powerbombs, the first one was brutal enough, why the hell didn't the referee throw up the "X" & end it there?  What the hell is wrong with Sid?  When you're wrestling someone, isn't the #1 rule to protect your opponent?  Hell, even the late Owen Hart knew that Steve Austin was legitimately injured after the botched piledriver at SummerSlam (which is probably why he didn't lay a finger on him & chose to stall the match instead).

The story I was always told is that the Sid and referee didn't realize Pillman was injured, since that was the planned finish of the match.

When is WWE Diva star Layla expected to return to the ring? I haven't seen her in a long time.

She'll be back when WWE creative is ready to write her back in.  I wouldn't be shocked to see her held off until after Wrestlemania.

Given how poorly TNA has used RVD, could you see him going back to WWE when his TNA contract expires?

It's certainly possible, but I haven't heard anything that leads me to believe RVD is departing TNA, so let's not get ahead of ourselves.
