2/23 SMACKDOWN RESULTS FROM TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS

By Diego Duron on 2012-02-24 11:37:52
The show began at 8:30 pm local time (we're 1 hour behind Eastern Standard Time). Lilian Garcia came out and welcomed us and got the show running.

MATCH #1: The Great Khali beat Jinder Mahal via a chokeslam.

MATCH #2: Ezekiel Jackson made Drew McIntyre submit to the torture rack. After the match, Cody Rhodes laid Ezekiel out, then did the same to Hornswoggle.

MATCH #3: Alicia Fox beat Natalya via rollup. Aksana was the special referee, and she was put in the sharpshooter by Natalya after the match.

MATCH #4: Cody Rhodes pinned Booker T after hitting his "Beautiful Disaster" move. After the match, Cody offered Booker his hand, but Booker basically flipped him off. Cody attacked, Booker got the better of him and then Hornswoggle came out and hit him with a frog splash. We were then treated to a spinaroonie by both of them.

10-15 minute intermission.

MATCH #5: Justin Gabriel & Ted DiBiase beat Hunico & Camacho.

MATCH #6: Mark Henry versus Sheamus. This is where things got interesting for me, 'cause when Mark Henry came out he walked around the ring, intimidating the fans and I got into his face, he got into mine (saying things like "I will kick your fucking ass"), we were yelling at each other (in jest, of course) and he challenged me to touch him ("You won't fucking touch me!"), I did the "fingerpoke of doom" on him and security kicked me out (I included a picture of me placing my finger on him and I will have video of the incident later on). Anyways, my friends said that Sheamus beat him.

MATCH #7: Big Show beat Daniel Bryan via DQ after Cody Rhodes came out again. After the match, Big Show hit a double choke slam on both of them.

It was an excellent show that lasted almost 2 hours. No hard feelings towards Mark Henry for being kicked out 'cause security was being obnoxious all night, telling fans to sit down or not stand against the railing (nobody was going OVER it, yet they kept separating us from it). It was the first time WWE came to my country and I would not be surprised if they never came back taking into consideration the low ticket sales. The blame for this falls squarely on the people in charge of advertising the event here 'cause I found out about the event on January 2nd via your site and they only started promoting it until the end of January via 1 ad per week in only one newspaper and they only picked up the pace until about a few weeks ago.
