CORNETTE OR HEYMAN REPLACING RUSSO IN TNA, MOVING THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER AND MUCH MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-02-18 10:00:00

Now that Vince Russo has departed TNA what are the chances of either Jim Cornette or Paul Heyman coming in to take his place?

In the case of Jim Cornette, zero.  He's a top executive with ROH and he absolutely nuked his bridge with TNA with his comments in recent years.  I don't see Paul Heyman coming in unless they gave him what he asked for previously in terms of points in the company and power, only knowing Heyman he would want even more to even consider it again.

What do you think of the idea of WWE moving the Elimination Chamber PPV to later in the year? A win in the chamber could propel a young star into the main event, but because the winner holds the title going to WrestleMania, there are people in the chamber matches (Kofi, Rhodes, Barrett) that pretty much have no chance of winning cause WWE won't put the title on them going into WrestleMania. Your thoughts?

It's an interesting idea.  I'd actually have it replace Money in the Bank in July.  However, WWE likes it as a way to keep fans guessing as they build the card for Wrestlemania.

I was recently watching The Very Best of WCW Monday Nitro, and it got me wondering, why are there interruptions during the matches? I know
they say they are going to commercial break, but do they not continue to record during the break? I know I have seen this in other WWE produced DVD's that contain televised matches, but why wouldn't they keep recording?

It may be that the master tapes don't include that footage, althougb my guess is that raw footage is unedited and features no commentary, so WWE doesn't want to spend the manhours cleaning it up.

With wrestlemania 29 we know the rock going to inolved in some sort of way. Which would make three wrestlemania in a row the rock has been involve. My question is with the rock seeming to be a wrestlemania act and the undertaker seeming to be another wrestlemania attraction as shown in the past few year.does it seem like wwe is book wrestle mania like Old school 70's and 80's big event (you know pre national tv) where it got wrestler that don't show up on the promotion but for the big event, and also the event got a lot of special attraction (like cage matches and no holds bar matches in the 70's and80's) does it seem like that to you?

That's a good correlation.  He could certainly be an attraction similar to Andre the Giant, coming into the territory once or twice a year.

Has WWE showed any interest in signing MMA and star of the movie Haywire Gina Carano into possibly taking part in Wrestlemania?

No.
