CENA-MARINE 3 UPDATE, RAW STAR PULLED FROM OPENING AND MORE WWE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2012-02-15 14:58:10
Deadline.com updated their story on the new Marine film, changing the wording so as not to reflect John Cena starring in the film.  As we noted earlier, the company had been looking for a script to put a top-tier name into as a way to "reboot" the franchise.

For those who missed it on Monday, Evan Bourne was removed from the opening of Monday Night Raw this week.  As we noted a few weeks ago, there are some in the company who felt he might not return.

Steve Austin is now working on a new feature film with Dolph Lundren titled "The Package."  The two starred together in "The Expendables."

Sean Waltman is in the process of opening a wrestling school in Florida.

The Village Chess Shop in New York City will be hosting a viewing party for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view this Sunday, February 19.  The shop is located at 230 Thompson Street in the Village (at the corner of Thompson and West 3rd).  There will be a $10 cover.  A food order will be taken for delivery from a nearby restaurant and select non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase, but no other outside food or beverage will be permitted.  Contact the store at 212-475-9580 or email organizer Bob Garver at rrg251@nyu.edu.
