MIZ AT AWARDS SHOW THIS WEEKEND, FOLEY TALKS COMEDY, DWAYNE JOHNSON PROJECT ON PBS AND MUCH MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-02-15 13:03:13
Mick Foley was interviewed by entertainment.ie to promote his upcoming European comedy tour. When asked what he learned in wrestling that can be applied to comedy, Foley said, "I think the most important thing I learned what that in the same way you can't judge a wrestling match by how many cheers or boos you get but by the lasting impression it makes, I try not to judge what I do on a comedy stage by how many laughs I get. I work with an amazing comedian on the last few shows in the states and he gets far more laughs per minute but I'm very comfortable with the laughs I get, the stories I tell and the idea that not every reaction has to be a laugh. It could be complete and utter silence but that indicates that people are listening. Some people would claim that would disqualify me from being a comedian because I'm not looking for people to laugh but there are times that you can see people really sitting and waiting for what comes next and that's as rewarding to me as getting the big laugh is."

Miz will be appearing at the Cartoon Network's Hall of Game Awards this weekend.

A quick corection from yesterday. Tooth Fairy 2 has actually already been produced and will be released on DVD shortly with Larry the Cable Guy. You have been warned.

Dwayne Johnson is listed as the Executive Producer of a new documentary on NASCAR hopefuls "Racing Dreams", which will air on 2/23 on PBS at 9 PM. The film won Best Documentary Awards at the Tribeca, Indianapolis and Jacksonville Film Festivals and has been optioned as a potential action film.

WWE featured an interview with Greg Valentine yesterday (gee, I wonder why!) that you can check out at this link.
