ECW'S TV SHOWS, HOW WWE CHAMPIONS ENDED UP ON INDEPENDENT EVENTS, DANIEL BRYAN = OWEN HART AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-02-09 10:00:00
Did ECW Hardcore TV continue to air while ECW on TNN was on? Were these separate shows? Were there different episodes airing at the same time containing different content? I have looked online but cannot seem to find a clear answer.

When TNN started, Hardcore continued as a second show weekly. TNN aired Fridays at 8. Hardcore (which was previously just the ECW tv show) aired syndicated in different markets over the weekend.

What do you expect the fallout to be for The Miz after the poor night he had during his match Monday night? I know online reports say that Triple H ran him down in the back already and I know that a mistake like the one he made by not catching Truth is a serious one, but what do you expect from here? Will Miz's reputation for being a "company man" earn him any good will or could we be looking at a "future endeavors" similar to the Kennedy/Orton situation a few years back?

It's too soon to see, but I don't see him being released by the company. I think he'll have to deal with the heat involved for his issues but over time, it will blow off.

Back in 1998 at Summerslam. I recalled Owen Hart was supposed to face Ken Shamrock in a Lion's Den match in the Theater at MSG. If my memory serves me correct, a few weeks prior to this even it was being promoted as a UFC Octagon fight where they were to use an actual Octagon setup from the UFC. Why the change? Why did they switch from the Octagon to the Lion's Den cage?

It was never promoted as an Octagon or anything related to UFC.

Every time I hear Daniel Bryan pull off a victory or an upset and he yells “Yes! Yes! Yes!” I am brought back to the Slammy Award Winner Era Owen Hart. Does this new smarmy personality remind you of Owen as well. I don’t think it was done on purpose, but I think it really has put Bryan on a new level.

I hadn't thought of it, but you absolutely have hit on something there. I can totally see the comparison and that's a hell of a compliment for Bryan.

I was wondering I found video of Eddie Guerrero wrestling with the IC belt at Ring of Honor under WWE contract and I found matches with Daniel Bryan When he was the U.S. champ wrestling the indy shows while he was still under contract with WWE. And many other doing Indy shows such as Kharma, John Morrison while under WWE contract. Which brings me to my question if your under WWE contracts are you allowed to wrestle for other company? If not why were these wrestlers allowed?

In each of these cases, the talents had independent dates set when WWE offered them new deals, so WWE allowed them to fulfill those obligations. They had won title belts in WWE before the dates, so they wore the belts to the appearances. That's all there was to it. I don't know where Morrison or Kharma may have worked after they debuted for WWE, however.
