WWE PPVS IN 3-D, WWE INTEREST IN DGUSA TALENTS, WEST COAST TALENTS AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-02-04 09:40:43
Do you know if WWE has been looking at any West Coast based wrestlers? It seems most of their recent FCW pick ups have been wrestlers from the East Coast (which logistically makes sense). Just watching some PWG and NWA Hollywood matches, the have some pretty charismatic, talented wrestlers who match the WWE "look".

I haven't heard of any new signings from WWE developmental out of the West Coast, but they certainly do sign workers from that area - Ricardo is from the West Coast. I am sure the next time WWE does a swing through that area, they will have tryouts and look at different talents.

Also, a sillier question and kind of a follow-up to a question you answered today, any idea on how the WWE will work around 'Taker's wig? Are they gong to keep him away from any physicality (ie. chance for his hat/wig to fall off) until Mania and hope his hair grows out by then?

My guess is that they will just not have Taker do any physical interactions until Wrestlemania.

I was just wondering have you ever heard if there's a tape of the WWA/All-Japan "International Bash"? That card is insane and I can't believe I don't remember reading about that in any of the apter mags, although that was when my brother and I were buying them sparingly as opposed to the mid-80's when we were buying all of them. Lol.

I know that the card was indeed filmed and used for All Japan TV. The Rock N' Roll Express vs. British Bulldogs match was released via VHS here in the States, so if you search, you might find the tapes floating about!

I find the timing of the WWE being interested in DGUSA talents to be interesting. Now they've reportedly expressed interest in their talents in the past and there's no telling who WWE wants. With that said, do you think this ties in with Evan Bourne's WWE future being in question? If they part ways with Bourne they will lose out on a useful style of talent for the undercard. A guy who can warm up crowds with their flashy offense and make others look good. Could this be what WWE is going for?

I don't believe the Bourne issues are why WWE is looking into some of the current DGUSA talents. The Cruiserweight show proposed for the Network however....

With UFC doing a PPV in 3D tonight, when is WWE going to do it?

They have had meetings with Fathom Events, but so far, no deal has been struck. I wouldn't be shocked to see it happen down the line.
