HULK HOGAN REUNITED WITH OLD THEME SONG ON FOX'S AMERICAN DAD

By Mike Johnson on 2012-01-30 16:15:39
Raven (not that one) sent along the following recap of Hulk Hogan on FOX's American Dad animated series over the weekend:

Hulk Hogan was a guest star on the Fox cartoon American Dad last night. To understand what happened in the episode, I'll have to explain some things. The father (Stan Smith) works for the CIA, he saved an alien (Roger) from being dissected, now the alien lives with the family. Also the alien likes to wear disguises and creates personas for said disguises.

The episode was about Stan trying to teach his son about working hard to earn a living.

The CIA is cutting back on hours during he summer. The agents all talk about what they're going to do on their extra time off. Stan is going to spend his summer at the country club. Stan shows up at the club to work, which he reveals in this episode that he's been doing for the past 30 years.

After a long day of work, he comes home and sees his son (Steve) throwing away half of a soda he was drink, because "the bottom is not for him, he's what you call a 'top'". Stan then gets upset that Steve doesn't appreciate what he has and that his father has to work hard to buy the family things like sodas. Stan then mentions that he admires the self made men in this world one being Hulk Hogan.

To show his Steve how to appreciate the hard work his dad does, Stan takes his son to work with him at the country club. After a little lesson in a working man's handshake it's revealed that on of Roger's personas is a rich man who is well known at this particular club. While Stan and a fellow worker (played by Cheech Marin) runs off to do some work. Steve wants to know why his father is doing what Roger is telling him to do. He lets Steve in on a little secret, that each family member is tricked by one of the many personas He has. Roger then tells Steve about how it's better to do things the easy way. Roger then hires Steve to hang around with him which Stan is against, but doesn't want to get fired so he allows it.

Stan makes the $7,000 to finally join the club, after saving up all these years. Steve begins to laugh, telling his father that it used to be that amount 30 years ago, but now it's around $200,000 now.

Stan, after disliking what his son has turned into, plays Roger in a round of golf for Steve to stop working for him. Roger precedes to win, after they shoot over 30 on the first hole and it is determined that the winner of the next hole takes all. Steve then goes into the kitchen of the club, where his father is being paid off by Roger for throwing the match.

Steve then learns his lesson and wants to work with his dad as a groundskeeper, but Stan likes his new life too much and refuses to go back.

At the "New Member Gala" Stan is mingling with his new friends when Steve bursts into the gala with Hulk Hogan (who is in jeans with a huge belt buckle, a yellow tank top, red bandana and yellow wrist bands). Steve explains that Hulk goes to his chiropractor. Hulk and Steve approach Stan and Hulk tries to talk some sense into Stan.

"Stan, my little Hulkamaniac filled me in on what's going on. Let me tell you the Hulkster had to battle his entire life to get where he is brother, with nothing but sweat, tears and heart ache and good old fashion red, white and blue pumping through my veins brother. All the training, all the matches, all the prayers and all the brothers made me appreciate all that I earned. That's why, no matter how many 1, 2, 3's I slap on my opponents I just thank my lucky Mean Genes (while making his pecks dance) that I was blessed to step into that squared circle use these twenty inch pythons (poses to show off his pythons). Stan brother, sometimes as a Hulkamainiac you gotta look deep down inside yourself and ask what's you gonna do when Hulkamainia runs wild on you?"

Hulk then poses some more as a single person is heard in the background saying "Yeah!". Stan then calls Hogan Terry and let's him know that he appreciates him coming to the event. Hulk then wants to shake hands, Stan obliges. Stan proceeds to have his hand hurt by Hogan's working man's hand shake, Stan has lost some of his strength by taking the day off and takes a knee.

Stan then Hulks up and begins to make it back up to his feet as "Real American" starts to play. Stan then tears off his shirt and poses. Stan, doing his best Hulkster impression, cuts a promo on those in attendance. After Roger refuses to let everything go back to normal, Stan turns to Hogan and wants his help in beating down some rich snobs. Hogan rips his shirt and they begin the beatdown.

Stan, Hulk and Steve all start doing various wrestling moves to the opposition, like back body drops, elbow drops and clotheslines to name a few. Hulk begins to rally up the onlookers by posing some, hand to the ear anyone, when Stan is being put in a camel clutch. Stan is eventually saved by a Lucha Mask wearing Cheech with a steel chair.

A week has passed and everything is back to normal, Steve even has a blister from all the work he did.

Hulk is shown surveying his work on a hill nearby and says "Well, looks like my work here is done". Real American plays again as he presses a button on his wristband that, for some reason, makes him naked. He then proceeds to walk out into the sunset.

Interesting how they were able to get Real American. I thought it was owned by WWE, if so why would Vince allow Hulk to use it? Is Vince maybe loosening up on the Hulkster hate?

Overall, not a bad episode.
