MONGO AS A HORSEMAN, THE NEXT WOMAN WHO SHOULD BE INDUCTED INTO THE WWE HALL OF FAME AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-01-28 10:00:40
With the Horseman being inducted into the HOF this year it got me thinking about all the versions of the Horseman. The one man that stood out as least deserving was from the final incantation, Steve McMichael. Alongside guys like Malenko, Flair, and Benoit (the tactician at the, not the man he became), McMichael seems so out of place. So first, do you think McMichael belonged as a Horseman? And secondly, if not McMichael, who do you think from that time period should have received his spot? M/b>

McMichael had a sports background and was a legitimate tough guy. Flair and company loved having him in the Horsemen. To me, it was no different than having someone like Lex Luger or Paul Roma.

Were there ever plans to have Hogan battle Zeus one-on-one, but then dropped by management once the clear lack of talent became too painful to watch? It seems that the “feud” ended just fine at Summerslam 1989, but then carried on unnecessarily through the teaming with DiBiase at Survivor Series and then back to Savage.

That was the original plan but they realized they lost steam and then killed it off. They brought the feud back to promote the PPV and home video release of the movie.

In his 2007 Hall of Fame induction speech Dusty Rhodes said that talent looking to improve their skills should watch tapes of Ricky Steamboat. Have you heard any stories of today’s younger talent actually doing this? It seems that the WWE’s extensive film library would be an invaluable learning tool.

All the time.

I have always read where WWE refers to itself as more of a entertainment business than a wrestling promotion. If that is the feeling what are the chances of less wrestling combined with more behind the scenes activities? A cutback on wrestling bouts so to speak.

If they could get away with losing the ring, they would.

The WWE recently announced who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame later this year. I noticed that there was no women selected. What woman would you like to see inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame? Who deserves to be recognized?

Elizabeth is the first name that comes to mind.
